After completing his residency in 2000, Dr. Jason Ellen moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he helped build and expand a newly formed optometric referral and surgery center known as BVA Advanced Eyecare of Tulsa, serving as Clinical Director and Ocular Disease Consultant. Meanwhile, Dr. Chad Chamberlain was providing comprehensive ophthalmology services at Triad Eye Institute, including cataract, refractive, and eyelid surgery.

During that time, Dr. Ellen became the first optometric resident in the US to perform refractive surgery. After completing his residency in 2000, Dr. Ellen moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he helped build and expand a newly formed optometric referral and surgical center, serving as Clinical Director and Ocular Disease Consultant.
Andrew Whitley, O.D. graduated from NSU Oklahoma School of Optometry in 2013. During his time at NSU, he spent 3 months with Dr. Ellen as an extern in ocular disease at BVA and refractive surgery at TLC. He then completed a 13-month Ocular Disease and Surgical Residency at Bennett and Bloom Eye Centers in Louisville, KY.

It's difficult to write a poor review about a community of well trained and responsible physicians. So rather than doing that . . 1st visit was NO PHONE SERVICE and even though the building had FREE WIFI posted on a small sign on the counter not one staff member pointed that out. I went through the exam and the MRI I had taken a week earlier at envision imaging were requested by a Dr who, I suppose was very inexperienced. 2nd visit anxiously awaiting the results! . . After a special trip to retrieve and deliver the disk three weeks in advance . . . They had not looked at the MRI. No phone calls

I highly recommend this office! Everyone is very accommodating, caring and knowledgeable. I came in with an ulcer on a Friday, AT THE END OF THE DAY. To my surprise they didn't even hesitate to work me in! I went in several times over the next few weeks so they could make sure the drops they gave me were working like they should. Throughout the week I saw several Doctors and I can truly say I LOVED them all! Its so hard to recommend a favorite. By the second or third day I was being greeted by name at the front desk and every tech that I met was so accommodating.The check out ladies would even

Dr. Priester, Dr. Ellen, Dr. Kencannon and everyone I had the privilege of working with at OMEG were professional and knowledgeable, and they truly cared for my well being. They explained things as we proceeded in as much detail as I desired, which was usually a lot. They restored my vision to 20/20, both eyes, using cataract and Laser surgery. I haven't seen this perfectly in 40 years. I do need readers but Dr. Ellen made sure that I knew this ahead of time, and I have needed readers for years. I recommend OMEG with no reservations to all my friends and family. They are the best.

My 93 year old great grandmother came here for her second cataract surgery (she had one eye done many years ago) and she absolutely loved everyone! She gets very nervous when it comes to surgery and new people but she felt right at home and had an excellent outcome! She lets everyone know that OMEG took care of her and she couldn't be happier!

I've been working with the Doctors at Oklahoma Medical Eye Group for a rare eye condition. They are the most caring individuals I've ever worked with. Sometimes the wait can be a little long, but that's because the Doctors take the time with each patient to answer any and all questions. They don't treat you like another copay. They actually care about their patients.

One of the best experiences I have ever had with a physician and office. Dr. Chamberlain and his staff are first class. Dr. Chamberlain is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent surgeon but also takes the time to thoroughly explain everything and answer all of my questions…he makes me feel like I am his only patient. Kim and Heather are fantastic, they truly care about their patients and go far beyond what is expected to provide excellent care. They have even texted me after-hours to check up on me. I have been to many doctors in the Tulsa area, but I have never had the most pleasant experience from anyone like I have received from OMEG From the first day I went in for my consult to my last visit. The receptionists both arriving and leaving for your appointment were extremely friendly. The technician who did the pre -check was very pleasant and explained each of the test he administered and did not appear to be annoyed with my many questions. A friend referred me to Dr. Chamberlain for my surgery she stated his was the "BEST" she was not wrong from the first office visit to the surgery center
