Perini Eyecare located at 7104 S. Sheridan are by far the best optometrists I have visited in decades. They have state-of-the-art equipment to perform eye exams but more importantly, they care about you as a patient and spend more time with you than at any other eye care facility I have used. Please consider using Perini Eyecare if you are looking for an optometrist or wish to receive a second opinion regarding a diagnosis.

Really bad experience. First time getting my eyes checked in 15 years and I walked out not knowing if/when I need glasses and was then very overwhelmed walking into a glasses store. The front office staff was confused about my insurance and claimed it would cost more to bill insurance than pay upfront out-of-pocket for the exam. After the exam I had no direction, no explanation on how to read my prescription, felt very unimportant to them. Especially when Dr. Devany Dougherty had already put on her coat to head out to lunch before I had my prescription printed. For a $99 exam, you should get better

I called with an eye emergency at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon, knowing that the office closed at 2pm and hoping the doctor could squeeze me in. I was in luck - I was able to get there and see the doctor immediately, and she quickly took care of my eye. The staff was polite and professional and everyone wore masks correctly. I will happily go back to Perini for any future eyecare needs.
