Services
Set in scenic East Harbor on the Marblehead Peninsula, our quiet, off-highway resort overlooks the water where you'll view our Lake Erie marina and fishing charter boats. A short walk from your motel room or cottage brings you to the waterfront where you can cook-out, fish off of the dock, enjoy our lounge; complete with a stove, refrigerator and microwave, swim in the pool or just sit and enjoy the view.
Mar-Lu Sport Fishing Charters, serving Lake Erie anglers since 1978, runs one trip per day for up to six anglers per boat. Our Marblehead location, in the heart of the island area, allows us to fish throughout the Western Basin of Lake Erie whether it's the islands, the reefs and shoals to the west, deep water to the east or Canadian waters just to our north for Walleye, Smallmouth Bass or Perch.
Our motel offers comfortable, clean, single and double bed rooms that can to accommodate two, three or four persons. All of our motel rooms are air conditioned, have cable TV and are a minute walk to the waterfront pool, picnic area and marina. Fresh towels are provided daily with maid service.
An open floor plan living and dining rooms as well as fully equipped kitchens and separate sleeping quarters accommodate up to 6 people, our 2 and 3 bedroom bedroom air conditioned cottages provide plenty of room for your family or fishing party to rest, relax and spread out.All cottages are fully furnished with cooking and dining accessories, towel, and linens.

Our marina on East Harbor provides free transient dockage to guests and seasonal dockage rental for guests wanting to moor their boats for the entire season. Our dockage can accommodate boats up to 30' in length for secure mooring, electricity and water is available. A wide concrete boat ramp is easily accessible and is free to all our guests.
Our location is perfect for enjoying everything that the vacationland area has to offer. We are centrally located among top destinations and attractions on the North Coast such as Cedar Point Amusement Park, ferry service to Put-in-Bay and Kelley's Island, and of course, Marblehead and Port Clinton shopping, dining, parks and beaches.

Nostalgic cabins. If you're looking for that 'Modern Condo Feel, this isn't it! It's cozy and homey. (A great place for a Batchelor outing!) Our Hostess was the best! She went out of her way to help us with whatever we needed. It's not the newest facility, but the customer service is outstanding! We will definitely be going back!

Great fishing experience!! Captain Ron is knowledgeable of all fishing question thrown at him. The fish were not biting so we went to a few different locations. I felt very safe on the boat. I could tell that when anyone caught a fish, Cap. Ron was genuinely happy for them.
The resort was more than I expected! We stayed in a 3 bedroom cottage and our whole group had plenty of space. The kitchen was stocked with all supplies. Everything had been cleaned and was very presentable. Anything we needed was only a call or 2 minute walk away to the main office.

We give the cottage a 5 star but for the charter it was our first time the captain made us feel that he was not interested in taking us out he was actually rude several times made us feel if this is what charters are like we will never take another they was 6 of us and we all feel the same way very disappointed

4 hour smallmouth bass trip with me and 5 kids ages 10, 11, 14, 16, 19. Captain Greg was amazing with my kids. Baited hooks for my squeamish girls (boys were fine) and made sure we all had a great time. Every single one of us caught at least 5 fish each but sadly only one smallmouth. Like he says - he's a fishing GUIDE - not a fishing GOD. Thanks for the fun and for making my kids love fishing. Also walleye is freaking delicious!

Our family of 4 came to Mar-Lu and stayed for a week of Bass fishing in the harbor. We rented two separate rooms, which worked out great for everyone. Our rooms were clean and spacious enough for what we… needed. The shower was heavenly! Always hot and great water pressure. Perfect after a full day of fishing. Plenty of parking for both of our trucks and boat trailer. Really nice dock area. We did quite a bit of fishing right off the dock when we weren’t on the boat. And we caught plenty of Bass, bluegill and small perch right there. Really nice pool and surrounding area. Everyone

I was actually eating at the Big Bopper up the street and was really hungover and needed some air. So I walked down the street to Mar-Lu and was surprised to find a fun little place tucked away near the lake. It looked like a nice place for a get away. The house keeper on the golf cart full of towels nodded a greeting to me so I feel the vibe was friendly. I would definitely give this place a shot.....taking shots got me there in the first place.
