St. Josef's Winery
Planted in 1978, with our first 'legal' vintage in 1983, St. Josef's is one of the original Oregon wine pioneers. Our goal is to make food-friendly wines that can enhance any meal without breaking the bank as well as a line of reserve oregon wine to enjoy on special occasions (like Tuesdays). We raise our own grapes from our five estate vineyards, maintained without the use of irrigation, harsh chemicals or pesticides.

We've earned both Salmon Safe and Live certifications for our sustainability. Join us for seasonal winemaker's dinners and winery events including the Sunday Summer Music on the Pond & our Fall Grapestomping Festival. Prosit! For our stewardship of the land we have received Salmon Safe certification and LIVE sustainability awards; and are proud to be a part of the 1% of NW vineyards that have achieved this level of sustainability.
Services
Like many pioneering wineries we have a story. A story of vision, love of the land, hard work, and personal pride. Josef Fleischmann owner winemaker was born in Hungary with wine in his veins; his grandfather had a winery in the picturesque valleys of Central Hungary. Opportunity for new adventures brought them out for a visit to Oregon one April in the early 1960s.
Josef, founder & winemaker featured on 'The Green Economy, ' a TV show that explores different types of environmental businesses. St Josef's was highlighted for our sustainable vineyards & natural wine making processes. Mt Hood Territory tourism winery video that promotes wine making in the Willamette Valley.
We live on the land, we grow the fruit, we make the wines - and have fun doing it! Small & Unique, St Josef's has produced premium, handcrafted wines since 1983. Because we are family owned & operated; we make the wines the way we like them. Our goal is food-friendly wines that can enhance any meal without breaking the bank; as well as a line of reserve wines to enjoy on special occasions (like Tuesdays).
Due to interstate commerce laws that were enacted just after prohibition in the 1930s we can ship you our Oregon wine only if you live in appropriate states. Of course, you must be 21 years old, and using your own credit card. We ship via FED-EX No P.O. Boxes please and the driver must obtain signature, packages cannot be left at the door.
We live on the land, we grow the grapes, we make the wines, and have a good time doing it! The surgeon general recommends at least one glass of wine per day for a healthy heart and healthy lifestyle. That equates to 7 cases of wine per person each year. Enjoy wines right from the vineyard by joining this Oregon wine club and becoming a part of the St Josef's Family!

Attended an outdoor wedding ceremony held at bottom of hill near large pond. Lovely archway, pink & red roses were in full bloom; nice grass, and benches to sit on... beautiful setting! Wind came up, so after wedding events held inside.
~ Only drawback, was the fairly steep hill going up/down to/from the ceremony cite by the pond. Thought it would be better if some kind of transportation were more readily available...especially for women in high heels, elderly & disabled. Saw only one woman get a ride up. No one else was offered a ride. I'm 74 and had to walk up that steep hill on my own... not

One of the original vineyards in Canby, St. Josef's produces wine from 5 estate vineyards, without harsh chemicals or pesticides. They are known for their Pinot. They provide their grapes to other vineyards and purchase grapes from Walla Walla for their Cabernet and Merlot and since I'm a fan of the bigger and bolder, I was delighted to try their Cabernet.

The 2021 Spring tasting flight allows you to sample their Lili Sparkling Rose, named after the mother as are all their champagne, and it was delicious! Light, crisp, with just the right amount of fruit and bubbles, it's an easy

We came for the afternoon and had a great time! There were plenty of tables well spaced outside. The staff was very nice, and we really enjoyed the wines. There was a nice variety of reds and whites to choose from.
The grounds were amazing as well. It's such a great place to enjoy a bottle of wine and relax.

Every one of their wines is sensational. The quality really shows, the flavors stand out and they are full of character. The staff and owners are also incredibly welcoming and friendly. The combination of stand-out wines, friendly low-key atmosphere, and the gorgeous scenery is the reason St.Josef's is the first wine club ever joined! Amazing experience.

Absolutely gorgeous grounds, the buildings and views are truly outstanding, wonderfully maintained outdoor area. The llamas and goats were so much fun to say hello to. I can’t speak for the wine myself, but I have heard it’s quite good.

We belong to their wine club. In addition to the tasty wines, the owners and staff are wonderful. The tables above their lake are perfect for a glass of their Sparkling Lili.

Beautiful winery that was a perfect venue for hosting a private event. I really enjoyed the ambiance and the drive thru the countryside to get there. The winery had plenty of parking for our group. The entry way, gathering area, deck and bathrooms were all clean. Nicely lit for an afternoon and early evening affair.

St. Josef's is a small family owned and operated winery located near Canby, Oregon.
Josef and his wife Lilly are a delight to talk to. Their son and daughter have taken over the day to day running of the winery. They offer a wide variety of whites and reds. They are very good and reasonably priced.
Through out the year they hold events that are family friendly. The events include tastings and music and food. The grape stomping festival is a lot of fun. If you are lucky enough to get your name drawn, you can litarately stomp some grapes in a huge barrel while the crowd cheers you on.

Just finished our engagement photos and fell in love with the place! Seriously considering having our wedding here in June of 2020. Tara was amazingly accommodating and very welcoming! Plus the wine prices are very reasonable. Loved it!

Being German, I was really excited to try this winery out, after hearing about their grape stomping festival.
I was clearly confused about the venue, because I thought the $10 would allow us tastings or the grape stomp. It was actually just an entrance fee, which you got a commemorative glass with (that I could do without).
We waited all afternoon, and only 1 of 4 of us got chosen to grape stomp. A few people stapled dollar bills to their raffle ticket and - miraculouosly - got their names chosen. In the meatime, we paid for wine-tasting a bought individual glasses of wine. Being that the winery

Very pleased to find this winery near me. I'm part of Seven of Hearts in Carlton, which as great wine, but this place was surprisingly great! They have some different wines, and they weren't sweet, and nice and dry. I found the Sparkling rose very interesting, as well as the Pinot Gris. I also very much liked the Cabernet, as well as their Gewurtztraminer I liked as well. I liked the wines that were different here. The Syrah tasted more like a Pinot Noir to me, it was pretty spicey but still good. The wines were very reasonably priced for the quality, and if you bought 6 you got one

Five stars for sure. The service is great, the workers really are passionate and knowledgeable about their wine. The atmosphere is super cozy, indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect for summer, wine is excellent. My favorite is the Pinot Gris, SO GOOD. My husband and I were going to visit a few other wineries but we were so satisfied here so we bought a bottle, drank it here, and called it a day!

I've had the pleasure of attending a few of their special events and enjoyed grape stomping, jazz and sipping their latest and greatest vintage. Owner operated, you'll probably see them running around, working hard, and making sure you're having a good time. Ask Josef for a hug, it will make your day.
Their wine is good too. I personally like the Lilli, their sparkling white. ($17)

One of the best vineyards I have been to. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Plus, the tastings are only 5 bucks for a flight of five! That is unheard of. Napa is 6 times as much! The property is beautiful and there are some fun animals to play with too. Definitely recommend adding St. Josef's to the wine tour day!

Beautiful location with a pond, goats, llamas and more frogs than you can count.
Oh and the wine is delicious. I had never become a wine club member before, but did on the first time I visited St. Josef's. I enjoyed all the wine they had and they house a nice variety of different types. So those who are picky about their grape will find something they like.
I'm a big fan of their Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and the Lilli!

We were told by someone to go to St. Josef's winery while wine tasting in Dundee. We fell in love with their wine, the venue and the family! We have since become wine club members, attended live music winery events, brought friends and family members, etc! They have great wines from Pinots, bubbles, ports, Gamay, Gris, etc. $5 wine tasting, free for members. Great for picnics, weddings, parties. Plenty of parking. Kid and pet friendly. We love St. Josef's!
