Capturing the earth, the weather and the year in a bottle, wine is ultimate farming. It was in 1995 when Elaine and I added vines to the fields of vegetables, grains and arborvitae on my family's 5th generation Willamette Valley farm. We designated this 20-acre estate vineyard St. Columban. In 1999, we co-founded Owen Roe Winery in what was formerly the machine shop for the farm.
Henry Zorn, farmer, writer, community leader, and grandfather of Jerry Owen, outside his milk house on the family farm in the 1930s. The Lady Hill tasting room and winery are situated on the same land where my family has farmed since the 1850s.
Located adjacent to the Champoeg State Heritage Area, where Oregon's first provisional government was founded in 1843, our family is proud to bring the taste of true Northwest wines to Willamette Valley wine country visitors.Next door to the winery is the Zorn House, built in 1862 and still my family home.

Mid-way between Portland and Salem, at the gateway to Oregon Wine Country, Lady Hill is located on a historic 1500 acre family farm. Throughout the rest of the month, we will be open Sunday through Wednesday, 11am - 5pm, and Thursdays through Saturdays 11 am - 7 pm (unless closed for a private event).
Lady Hill wines are crafted by individuals, not manufactured by processes. Our pledge is to deliver delicious wines that are unique Northwest expressions of classic European varieties and blends, and which reflect the individual qualities of each Northwest vineyard source. We launched Lady Hill Winery on our 5th generation working farm in the Willamette Valley, St. Paul, Oregon.
There was a time when "Oregon Country" meant the entire Pacific Northwest. Running north from the border of California and taking in what is now Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and British Columbia, "The Northwest" was one vast contiguous territory. As a wine region, it still is. Wine grapes, after all, know no borders.

If you go, it is wise to call first and see when they have tastings. We went assuming, like every other winery, they'd have tastings as listed on their website. However, we got there during "happy hour" and they don't do tastings during that time. The only serve two wines for $8 each - a very weak white wine and a "red blend" which was simply awful. The woman providing the music was excellent, but the volume was way too loud. All of that is too bad. I like their wines, but going to their winery is a huge disappointment. How a winery cannot do tastings to promote their wines on a weekend afternoon

Lady hill is open until 8pm! They have very friendly service, the outside area is very open and welcoming.. with enough space to not make you feel clustered. It is a great place to sit in the sun and sip on some good wine! The tasting fee is reasonable and we really enjoyed them being open late to enjoy a great sunset with great vibes! Jessica helped us today and she was knowledgable and friendly!

Lady Hill Winery has my heart! Michelle was the lady who navigated our tasting and she was an absolute hoot to be around. Even if the wine we tried wasn't good (and trust me, it was GREAT), she would've made it better!
First off, she let us sit outside and enjoy the weather, which the previous place we journeyed to did not. Our tasting flight was one of my favorites! It featured a Pinot Gris (which changed my mind about white wine), a Cabernet Sauvignon (perfect amount of dry), a Syrah (my favorite w/ hints of tobacco), a GSM (my second favorite) & the Cuvee (Cab Sav, Merlot, Cab

Such a personable experience. Not only was it the only place open in the area that allowed our dog on the patio (on a Monday), but they really took the time to introduce us to the process and the love that they put in each bottle. Hosted by Michelle and an absolute passion download from the Winemaker Dan. Can't wait to come back....

3.5 stars. Definite worth a walk over if staying at Campoeg State Park across the road.
AMBIANCE: 4.0. Gorgeous setting and facility. The building sits in the midst of rolling (organic) farm fields and woods. The interior is pretty, and there are two upstairs rooms that can host private tastings.
SERVICE: 3.5. Friendly and prompt. Was not particularly knowledgeable about the different brands and wines.
Children play area inside.
WINE: 3.0. Several brands. Competently produced.

9/17 This winery is located out in the rolling countryside of the Willamette Valley. The barn was converted into a wine tasting room one year ago and is done very tastefully, but is still a work in progress. The staff is very helpful and the wine very drinkable. Their 2014 Pinot Noir was the best of their offerings, at least for my taste buds...Most importantly--don't miss the winery 100 yards away. Sincann Winery turns out to have the best wines of the area. Don't miss this unsung treasure!

Sineann has recently moved here in November and co located with Lady Hill. Sineann has recently moved to the same as place as Lady Hill in November. We did their tasting and this was the only repeat we had from trip a few years ago. We love the feel of the place and you need to let them know you are coming. The daughter of the owner is really sweet. She served us 25 tastes since we have a wide palette of wines we like. The artwork and the glass tops are beautiful and unique. We seem to always walk away with their dessert wines, a white (Gruner Veltliner) and this time a Napa Cabernet, and a Red
