The Alternative Hair Studio uses and carries predominantly Pureology and Redken hair products, as we believe these brands best fit our clients' hair needs and desires. Our team of professionals have a tremendous amount of experience with and receive training/education on these lines so we can recommend and use the products that are perfect just for you.

It's always a treat to get my hair done by Lauren Batts. Not knowing much about hair, it's so nice having a hair stylist I can trust to use her judgement/give hair care advice. She is very knowledgeable about her trade, extremely personable, and always executes the perfect cut.

My daughter and I were passing through when we found this gem and had our hair done. Super great place to have your hair done. Very customer service friendly people. The place was clean and easy to get to. Parking was easy and close to the door. I could not of asked for a better experience. The girls there were great that helped us out.

I have lived in Fishers for four years and have had a challenging time finding a stylist I really like. I came across Alternative Hair Salon and was impressed by what I saw, let me tell you the actual experience was even better! The salon is very clean and well sanitized, Lauren (my stylist) was prompt and I didn’t have to wait to get started with my cut and color.
Prior to my appointment, I did do some research on what I wanted but once I got there I felt it was hard to explain exactly what I was looking for. Lauren was so patient though and asked great questions to get a better understanding

I’ve been going to The Alternative Hair Studio for over two years. The staff and owners, Amy & Ted, are the kindest, genuine people! There prices are typical and fair compared to other salons, but I very much appreciate their transparency about costs.
Today I had my first visit with Lauren and she was incredibly knowledgeable about color specifically balayage. She did a wonderful job with my cut and color. She took her time and really listened to what my #hairgoals are.
If you’re looking for a salon with trustworthy staff and a welcoming environment then look no further!

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!! It has went downhill!!
I used to go to a different girl a year ago but decided to go natural and hadn’t been back. I called to make an appointment with my previous stylist and they said she wasn’t there anymore. Not a problem, they put me with their stylist Lauren. When I walked it I was rudely greeted by the front desk woman and said I needed to call before entering. And said I HAD to wear my mask, even though I already had it on. The person at the front desk seemed very annoyed that I was asking about pricing and if Lauren was ready for me. Starts with Riley at the front desk. Awesome, kind and so sweet. She chose Julie for me and she chose perfect for me. I love this really really clean salon and Julie did the best color and style that I have EVER HAD!!! Love Julie and would never go anywhere else. My 1st visit and I would go there if you need a stylist and are scared. I had no fear in there. GO THERE FOR GREAT HAIR AND PEOPLE.

Kylie who is new talent for the salon cut my hair a couple of weeks ago. She did a fantastic job! She was a pleasure to talk with. She listened to my thoughts about my hair and offered great suggestions. I was seeking some change for my hair style so it was very helpful! My hair has looked the best it has in months! I am very happy to have been introduced to Kylie and the salon! I will definitely return!

My 4yr old son had a great haircut experience with Emily. She was so kind and patient with him when he had so many questions. The customer service was great and the facility was very clean and orderly. I signed up for the loyalty program and I already have 2 more appointments scheduled!
