First time taking my Jeep there and will always return for all services and repairs. Dealership told me I had coolant leaking in the bottom pan and I had to have my radiator replaced. I took it to LKN Auto Repair and they looked it over and said it was actually a cracked oil filter housing due to over torqueing the filter at an oil change. Won't be going back to quick oil change shops again or dealership. He will do all my work from now on!

Would not recommend. Took my car in to have it scanned. Asked a couple times if that would cost anything which was dodged each time, which I should've just taken it to Advance Auto which does it for free. I will chalk that up as a $60 education. After an extensive wait, because they had to eat first rather then just having me come back later, they were willing to charge me over $600 for a part I found commonly online for $200 and then another $400 in labor, and shop fees to reach $1K. I fixed my own car in 30 minutes and saved $800 from being pulled out of my pocket. Unfortunately, this is

Dealer told me I needed a new engine because oil was getting into cooling system (15 quarts in a week). Took car to LKN Auto Repair for a second opinion. Described the problem, and Andy's first question was if it was 3.6 Liter engine (it is...).
Suffice to say they knew what the problem really was, repaired and tested, and my car works just like it did prior to the problem. And I saved >$10,000 in the process.
100% will use again, and would recommend to anyone looking for quality work from honest people at a good price and fast service.

I brought a car that had all belts replaced, by another mechanic in Hickory, due to squeaking belts at low RPMs and the battery light coming on When I contacted that shop about the squeaking still present, especially in cooler weather, they told me it was most likely a pulley. I moved to the area two days ago--and somehow, my car was already having problems.
Luckily, I found LKN Autuo on Yelp, and I couldn't be happier.
Andy is honest, quick and upfront--and man, oh, man... he's just a really nice guy.
It's pretty cool to already have a mechanic to recommend to people after such a short time of being in town! I've never trusted an Auto Repair shop more. I'll certainly be coming back.

It has been hard for me to find an honest mechanic who didn't recommend unnecessary services. LKN Auto Repair has been the exception. I was thrilled that Andy communicated with me consistently rather than requiring me track him down (as so many shops do). The help I received was efficient and priced reasonably. He also helped educate me about what was wrong with the vehicle so that I can take steps to prevent it in the future. I definitely recommend this shop.
