Services
Who we are holds wholeness and integrity. Distress and pain are perfect reactions to one's unique life experiences. These symptoms are neither good or bad, they do not reflect one's state of health, but rather perfectly reflect what has not gone well in one's life. Life need not be a series of situations and emotional states that repeat endlessly.
Relationships are hard! Whether couples are newly together or have been together for years, each stage presents its own challenges. Learning to listen deeply and communicate clearly and honestly is vitally important. So is being able to ask for what you need, learning to disagree and learning to tolerate your differences.
At LifeCourse Counseling Center, we have been privileged to work with transgender people since 1983. We know the courage it takes for people to be themselves regardless of what others think. LifeCourse Counseling Center and all it's therapists validate and support transgender, queer and gender non-conforming individuals.
There are many reasons you may wish to talk to a gay, lesbian or transgender therapist over the phone rather than meeting in person. All of LifeCourse Counseling Center's therapists are licensed professional psychotherapists. Our services are strictly confidential. Telephone consultation is a professional psychotherapeutic service.
Tetty has been a practicing psychotherapist since 1980. She has worked extensively with LGBTQ individuals, couples and groups and has supervised both clinicians and therapists in training. Ms. Gorfine has years of experience in working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and uses sign language as the primary mode of communication with these clients.

Tetty is the best I have ever seen. My family keeps going back for our occasional issues, but she has truly helped us to learn the tools to keep us plugged into each other emotionally and given our relationship firm footing to grow together.
