It's OK. Decent facilities, surprisingly nice and well stocked store, and nice people but it seemed cramped on the RV side.
For such a beautiful area it feels too much like any other trailer park and doesn't feel as much of a place to enjoy the mountain/nature experience as I'd hoped and am used to.
The nearby area is beautiful but you need to be able to travel away from the park to experience it.
There's no real view other than other RVs, not much by way of trails and not much privacy.
For example, on one evening as we sat by the campfire we could see and hear the TV shows/movies playing on

Our regular camping spot in Shaver Lake was closed due to Covid this year so we booked a tent spot for a week here. The spot we were assigned (#18) had no shade between 7:00am until 4:30pm. There was no picnic table for this spot and only enough space for parking one vehicle. We did drag the table from site #17 to our site because #17 was close for Covid distancing, but we shouldn't have had to.
On our week long stay here's some things to note about camping at Wishon RV park.
1. They cater to RVers more than the tenters. The RV sites look really nice and are setup well, but if

The campground was nice and we'll kept, we had a pretty spot that was shady most of the day and back to the woods. the people in the store were nice and helpful and answered the phone when we couldn't quite find our way getting lost seemed like 5 times. seriously folks don't listen to your GPS. If you're on McKinley just keep driving you'll find it. Even if your GPS says it was five miles behind you. Yes sure like any other Campground you can hear the neighbors play their TVs too loud and The kids screaming across the campground. I didn't care for the plague of wasps that keeps you from eating

I had never been here before and the only reason we did come was because a friend invited us, and I am soo glad we made it. The place was easy to find, they booked two spots next to each other and so we had plenty of space and the picnic table and firepit was a nice surprise. There were little stages for the kids to do shows, trails to take, the dam waant that far and beautiful to fish and hike at, it was such a nice experience! Onw fault was a neighbor of ours was a little rowdy one night and for their super late and made soo much noise, so I wish there was a cut off tim to be respectful of the

Awful customer service. We had an emergency situation costing us over $10,000 on the day we were supposed to arrive. We immediately contacted them and they refused to refund us, or credit us for the following season since we couldn't make it in time before they close. This is bad business, it wasn't like we did a no show or didn't want to go, we were stranded and UNABLE to go and yet they had no compassion or willingness to budge.

This is our first stay at this park, they had a magician on Saturday night at
their pavilion which was really cool! Park is neat and clean as are the restrooms and showers. They obviously take pride in their park as there's no riff raff allowed and they keep dumpster areas neat and clean! Thank you Paige for helping us with our reservations!!!!! We'll definitely be back!

This was a wonderful semi-mid way spot for us to meet our family in Northern California for a long weekend of camping. 6 hours north of Carlsbad (San Diego area), it was a perfect spot for a true getaway. Our party was split between tent camping and RVers so we were in separate sections but luckily, our campsites were very close. Just a short walk. It could not have worked out better. Each site was very clean and nicely shaded from the surrounding trees.
The hosts and everyone in the general store were always really friendly and so helpful. You are 30-40 minutes from town so anything you might

We went on a spontaneous trip to Wishon Reservoir for some fishing. Our first time at Wishon. We did pack to camp just Incase, however every tent camping was taken. Luckily deducted to stop at Wishon Village store where we met the nicest employees who were able to guide and help us get a tent site for the night. There's restrooms, showers and a flat platform already made for our tent. They have a Bbq pit/bond fire set you just need wood where you can buy at the store within walking distant from camp site. They were very accommodating and the customer service was more than expectational!

I had a bad experience that people need to know about. I switched over to this campground from another that was under developed. They we're very accommodating being we just walked up to get a site. We we're lucky that they had something even though we would have to move twice in our 5 day stay. That wasn't my issue with them I had an unexpected issue with my tow vehicle breaking down and undriveable in Oakhurst which is 91 miles by RV or 75 by car due to the road conditions. When I told them I had to leave due to my predicament. They would not refund my last 2 nights. The lady just

This place is a great hideaway for friends and family. The reason I found this place is because I am working right around the corner for PG&E. Fishing at wishon Lake is amazing. The drive up here is long but definitely worth it. I plan on seeing you for the next few months and will do another review at the end
