Services
I started Key Management and Realty, Inc. in 1997 after many years in real estate. My goal is to provide the highest quality property management and brokerage services in Chicago. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with many wonderful people-owners, tenants, buyers, sellers, tradesmen and vendors.
Many real estate investments are described as "turn-key" implying that the owners can relax and do little more than collect the rents. In reality, most properties require a level of involvement that some owners find too time consuming or too stressful for them to do it themselves. That is where Key Management can help.
Your security deposit (if applicable) is held in a separate bank account and earns interest at a rate determined by the City of Chicago. When you move out, your deposit and any interest due will be refunded to you within 45 days or sooner minus any funds withheld for damages.
Normal wear and tear is not considered damage, but holes in the walls, broken cabinets, cigarette burns in carpeting for example might require a portion of your deposit to be retained for repairs.Unless otherwise stated in your lease, you are responsible for the gas and electric service for your apartment.
