Oxford Community Preschool provides a warm, inviting environment that will provide an excellent foundation for your child's education. Each classroom has a teacher and at least one assistant in the room at all times. Children learn through a variety of methods including circle time, music, small group teacher directed lessons and centers.
Large and fine motor skills are developed through art, recess, and inside games. We are proud of our family environment. We provide many different activities that allow parents and children to build friendships. Those activities include field trips, evening functions, fundraisers and lunch bunch. We have the background, certifications, and experience to make your child's educational experience the best it can be.

Services
Oxford Community Preschool provides a warm and nurturing environment located in the Oxford Presbyterian Church. Our Preschool promotes your child's individual development through creative learning experiences. All classes offer a variety of multi-sensory, thematic, hands-on activities that enrich the children physically, socially and intellectually.
Our four children had the pleasure of attending Oxford Community Preschool from the age of two until the start of Kindergarten; spanning a total of eight years. We were thrilled with the quality of the education and personalized care for our children at the preschool. OCP offers an excellent education in small classes, individual attention to the needs of our children, and opportunities to try new things in a comforting environment.
Laurie Todd received her Early Childhood Degree from James Madison University where she played field hockey. She grew up in Unionville and attended Unionville High School. After graduating from JMU, she married and moved to Lincoln University, where she has lived for 23 years. She has three boys, two of which attended OCP.
Our TOT Program uses hands-on activities that help promote positive social interactions in the classroom. We have one Tots classroom called the "Beehive Room." The teachers lovingly respect each child's individual development and growth. An array of stories, music and art are offered throughout the day along with large motor activities.
Our Preschool Program is filled with creative discovery and exploration. Each day is planned to enable the children to build confidence and independence. Exposure to letters, numbers, shapes and music occur daily. Teachers ensure that children have an appropriate, joyful and meaningful learning experience.
