Come and enjoy the camping, horseback riding, hiking, fishing and kayaking. Bring your tent, camper, hammock or stay in one of our 7 cabins! Our campground is located at the base of Holston Mountain, near Bristol Tennessee, adjacent to Cherokee National Forest which offers miles of hiking/horseback riding trails overlooking the beautiful South Holston Lake.

With renowned trout fishing on the famous South Holston River, as well as lake fishing, we offer the perfect place to stay to be in the middle of it all! We are also near Bristol Motor Speedway/Thunder Valley. Full of tables and benches, this space is great for an outdoor barbecue, meeting up after a long day of riding or fishing, or just relaxing at the end of the day.
Services
For the beginner rider or someone who just likes to take a leisurely stroll, there are US Forest Service Roads all throughout. These roads provide a quiet ride through the mountain where you may see an abundance of local wildlife. Many of these roads are excellent for horse buggies and wagons, and you can ride comfortably for several miles!
While staying at the campground, you may want to take a few days off riding and go see some of the other attractions of this beautiful area. Here are some of our favorites. Blue Hole (Stoney Creek) A beautiful swimming hole tucked in the mountains, Blue Hole is a must see if you are in the area. Fed by a mountain stream, it is clean and lush.
The South Fork Holston River is well known for its abundant trout fishing. Both browns and rainbows are plentiful. The appeal of this river is the potential for the big ones. 10lb brown trout are not unusual, and in this stretch of river anglers have netted browns that tipped the scales at 20lbs! If you forget anything check out the South Holston Fly shop.

Best camping deal for a cute, tucked away place. $17 for a private area to camp with our tent. Clean bath house and restrooms. The host was welcoming.

I traveled down to eastern Tennessee for the weekend , a couple of weeks ago , had pretty good time . The folks that run the place are pretty helpful , with bout anything you might need , there is plenty of stuff to do close by . Planning to try to get down there again next year , it's a really nice place.

We stayed here April 15-17 2021. The road to get to the campground was a bit narrow (we were in a class A) but we arrived safely and had a wonderful time! The campsite was clean and well manicured. The owner stayed up late on the night of our arrival in the pouring rain to make sure we got hooked up ok! They have firewood available for purchase, a community fire ring, and sewer, electric, and water hookups at each spot. Our children loved playing on the hill next to the stables, and we all loved the views from the lookout on the hill! I will say, there is no cell phone service until you get a couple

My wife and I took our two dogs and had a wonderful time. The people that run this place are kind and very pleasant to deal with. I would recommend to anyone. It is right on the edge of the national forest with plenty of hiking.

This is an awsome small camp ground nestled right next to the Cherokee national forest and at the south tip of holston lake in bluff city. We had an extended visit here during the quarantine and it was delightful.

Very peaceful and quiet. Secluded just next to national forest. Note: when GPS says you have arrived, you actually need to drive a couple of miles more. Road is pretty narrow so use caution and hope you don't meet anyone.

Second time staying here. Steve is fantastic he takes great care of the facility. Thank you for allowing horses its really appreciated. Nice open air barn. Full hookup for trailers. The Morrell trail is a nice single track. Just steep, not overly rocky, some switch backs.
