At Ashton Family Medicine we deliver high quality patient-centered medical care to patients in the Greater Philadelphia Area including Northeast Philadelphia, Bensalem, Feasterville-Trevose, Southampton and Huntingdon Valley. We accept patients of all ages from newborn to geriatrics.
We strive to keep our patients healthy by providing pediatric well visits, adolescent physicals, preventative services including vaccinations, and geriatric annual visits.In addition to routine preventative care we also offer acute care visits and chronic disease management. We also assist our patients in self-management of chronic diseases to given the patient control over their chronic disease instead of the disease controlling the patient.

As defined by the agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHQR) the medical home is not simply a place but a model of the organization of primary care that delivers the core functions of primary care. In working as a medical home we strive to encompass the following five functions and attributes.
With three local, board-certified family physicians, registered nurses, registered medical assistants, and a business staff, we have more than 15 years of experience in medicine. Since 2001, we have performed a wide range of services in our local office, and we know the patients in the area very well.

I still go to Dr. Mandel's office to be seen, after moving an hour and a half away. He's kind and will sit down with you and ask what your concerns are. They have always called me no later than a week (sometimes less) for blood results or other test. If I need to speak with Dr. Mandel about an issue over the phone. He always takes time to call me back about my concerns. The ladies at the front desk have always been courteous. There might have been one or two times I didn't get a smile from someone, but you know what... We all have bad days sometimes.. so I didn't take it personal. Thank you Dr

I like Dr Mandel but not their staff. Very unprofessional especially the self proclaimed manager. Don’t even know between quanteferon test and 2 step PPD. . I would never recommend. Clinic needs friendly staff and knowledgeable rather than unprofessional one.Rude and sarcastic people have no place in medical field.

Dr. Mandel is the best doctor I have ever had. I had been bouncing around from one doctor to the next and it has been so hard trying to find a good family doctor. All the doctors here are great and it has been a pleasure being a patient here. I recommend Ashton FM to anyone looking for a good doctor who cares and will take the time to listen to you and always do what is in your best interests.

The staff is very, very rude!!!!! They NEVER have a smile on their faces. They talk down to you most of the time. There may be 1 member of the staff that is nice (other than the girls who take your blood) Dr. Mandel does very little listening, But he does care about his patients...He just needs new staff.
