Dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in our community through shelter, placement, spay/neuter, education and awareness. Our hope for the future is that there will be no unwanted, unloved or abandoned companion animal. We will continue with our aggressive spay/neuter campaign and our owner education programs in the hopes that any pet ever adopted will find a permanent, loving home.
We believe that with the involvement of our community we will make a significant impact on the welfare of companion animals, but we need your help and understanding. Together, will make the difference. Throughout the year, New Leash on Life and our wonderful sponsors and donors host community events to raise both funds and awareness for our cause.

Services
We are proud to be part of the National Spay/Neuter Response Team! This is a network of spay/neuter clinics that trained at the National Training Center of Humane Alliance, a program of the ASPCA. We follow their established veterinary standards of care in offering quality, affordable spay/neuter services.
At New Leash, we know that nothing is accomplished alone, and we wouldn't be where we are today without our village. Thanks to the generosity of the people and businesses in our community, our sponsors, our donors, our volunteers, and more, we're able to save and improve the lives of 1000s of animals per year.
The NLOL Pet Adoption Center is the longest-standing operation of the NLOL family. Our mission to establish permanent adoption of abandoned cats and dogs is achieved through this facet of our overall mission, as we provide shelter, food, basic medical care and training to each rescued animal. It is not unusual for us to find animals left overnight in crates or chained to trees in front of our building.
We will continue to be open Tuesday-Saturday but we will have limited hours and be operating by appointment only. Anyone that arrives early, before their time slot, will need to wait in their vehicle until their scheduled appointment time. Walk up guests that do not have an appointment will be given an appointment time.
New Leash on Life's new Adopt A Kennel program is a great way to support us as well as promote your business or organization or honor yourself, a friend, or family member. When you adopt a dog or cat kennel - or entire room - we will recognize your contribution with a prominently displayed, personalized plaque for an entire year.

The employees a take their jobs seriously & help match pet & owners likewise. You have a week sleepover to come out with a perfect fit for yourself, family & your new pet. It's a no kill shelter & everyone seems genuine in their love of the animals. Top rated people. We love out new addition & he loves us as well.

Awesome place. We adopted a puppy from them that picked up a virus from somewhere. They took care of the puppy and our other dog. They offer a 7 day trail on all adoptions. Great chance to see if the puppy would bond with us and other dogs. They are truthful, friendly and work with dogs show how much they put the animals first. Great place to get an animal for their forever home!

I went today to adopt a furbaby. They were very friendly and explained everything about our girl Arleigh. We haven't even had her a full 24 hours and we already love her. Absolutely wonderful staff. I recommend going to adopt here. But only if your serious about giving pets forever homes. These animals need forever homes too.

Absolutley the best staff, who care for the animals and it shows. Clean and well kept no kill shelter. I've waited years to rescue another for baby and we found our match at New Leash on Life! Huckleberry ( Huck ) is laid back and a love bug. So nice to have the pitter patter of paws on my wood floors again! Thank you everyone!

The staff is great and they really do a lot between walking all the dogs, feeding, cleaning, and working with the public wanting to adopt, checking references, etc. We got our little 3 year old Sadie (aka Padmè name given by animal control) from there. She's just the sweetest. We don't know how her owners could not claim her, but she's been our blessing after our last dog of 14-1/2 yrs. passed on June 2 and our 13-1/2 yr old passed back in September. Adopt a pet!

Rescues: dogs and cats
Rescue location type: foster network AND an adoption center AND a clinic
New Leash on Life is helping the Animal Rescue Corps shelter 128 dogs from a puppy mills situation from Monticello, KY. Aside with that emergency support, they rescue on their own and have dogs and cats for adoption. Help them out! Adopt, foster, donate!
And make sure to "fix" your pets and get your new family members from rescues or reputable breeders not pet shops, online or craigslist where the dogs most likely come from puppy mills and are the products of suffering.
