Before your visit, please take some time to learn about our hospital policies and the services we provide. To ensure that each patient and their owners have a safe and pleasant visit, we require that all cats arrive in a pet carrier and that all dogs be on a leash when entering the hospital and in the waiting area.

Since her earliest memory, Dr. Nicole Harris was driven to become a veterinarian. Her early experiences with animal care made a deep impression, and her love of medicine and problem solving grew. For Dr. Harris, a career in the world of animal care was simply the only choice! Dr. Harris opened Avenue Animal Hospital in the fall of 2012 to provide her own brand of modern diagnostics and client-centered services to the pet owners of the area.
We have four exam rooms. Two are tailored to small to medium size dogs and cats. Two are tailored to larger dogs. All exam rooms have solid surface counter tops. Exam rooms also contain computers so that ultrasounds and X-rays can be displayed to clients in a private setting. We have digital X-Ray in house.

Boomer has been seeing Dr. Harris most of his life. He just turned 13. He recently hasn’t been feeling well, so we took him in to be checked. They did bloodwork and an X-ray and found his liver is swollen. His bloodwork wasn’t great either. They recommended an 8 hr blood test for Cushing’s disease and said we would get an answer that day(Monday). We got the call to pick him up, but Dr. Harris was gone and we didn’t get an answer. We requested a call from her, but she never called. We called the office the next morning and were told she was out for the day. They did prescribe pain medicine

My dog had an appointment to be groomed today. I took her in at 8:15. I called at 3:30 and was told still another 45 minutes. I told them to call me when she was ready. No one bothered to call! At 5 o’clock I called and was told she was ready. Nine hours to get a groom! Ridiculous! If you can’t get to the dog until noon, don’t have them come in at 8!

We LOVE Avenue Animal Hospital. We see Dr. Johnson and she is absolutely wonderful! My Great Dane has lots of skin issues and she is very proactive in her treatment. We have also seen some of the other vets when Dr. Johnson was out of town which we also have had good experiences with. The staff is also very friendly and calls the next day to check on your pet, which I appreciate.

The whole staff at Avenue Animal is amazing! Every time we're there they treat our fur babies right and they all seem to love them so much!
If the love and attention wasn't enough, the level of care that they are provided is beyond excellent.
