Founded in 1989 by Dr. Barbara Etzel, Floyd Harbor Animal Hospital has been providing top notch veterinary care to cats and dogs in and around Shirley for over 30 years. To ensure our patients have the most comfortable experience possible, we're Low Stress Handling certified and we use a variety of techniques to keep them happy and relaxed during their visit.
Floyd Harbor Animal Hospital was founded by Dr. Barbara Etzel in 1989. The original building was a storefront located a block away from its current location. From the beginning, Dr. Etzel's philosophy has been to provide patients with the best veterinary care and clients with the best service possible.
Our veterinarians and support staff will provide individualized veterinary care for your furry friend. Our veterinarians offer preventive care, wellness exams and services for kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. Diagnostic imaging allows our veterinarians to look at your pet internally for clues about sickness or injury.
Let Floyd Harbor Animal Hospital provide professional care for your kitten, puppy, cat, or dog. A physical exam is the smartest and easiest way to keep your pet healthy. Wellness exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiscovered otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, ear mites, dental disease, skin issues and allergies.

I am not sure as to what this vet's office is trying to prove with the continuous lockdown, but my dad ALMOST NOT BEING ABLE to be with our dog when it was being euthanized was a last straw for me. I can't even begin to express my anger. This office needs to update their lockdown policy, especially for this kind of appointment. This is hard enough on the families. I don't appreciate the treatment

Dr. Goldstein is so caring and takes the time to answer every question I have and follow up with my dog all the time. My dog has been sick and they always get him in for an appointment when we have any concerns. They truly care about the animals. They will definitely not overcharge you and will in fact do whatever they can to get you the most out of what you pay for. I would not want to bring my baby anywhere else!
