Wonderful experience with Dr Schlesinger. I have struggled with rosacea for several years. After my visit with Dr. Schlesinger, who is very knowledgeable about rosacea, within 4 weeks of my visit my redness was cleared up significantly. I have had several appointments at the Nexton office with Dr. Scharnitz.

I see Meredith, the PA, at the West Ashley office on Hwy 61. I love going to this office because it’s very easy to get in and out of during the day time. Proximity is great for me, as well. Staff are always kind and friendly when I get there. I love Meredith and feel like she’s exactly what I was looking for in a Derm provider. She’s easy to talk to, she’s super efficient with her time, and I feel like she genuinely cares about my skin health. She’s very relatable and I highly recommend her. Charleston Dermatology and Laser has been so helpful. I had skin cancer removed 6 months ago and went in for my follow up body scan today. Jamie and Meredith and all of the staff are so helpful and friendly. They explain any questions you may have. Meredith even went the extra mile to help with some skin care concerns/needs that weren’t related to my initial visit.

Terrible communication at this place. My time spent at the place was nice. The staff and the lady that I saw were very nice, but I was mis-informed on what my charges would be. I went there to get a cyst looked at and the lady I saw was very informative on how the procedure would work. I asked if there would be any additional charges and I was told no, that I would just pay my co-pay. Once I had the procedure, she asked if I wanted to send off my cyst to get looked at. I once again asked if I would get charged for that, and she once again said no. Months later I get a $104 bill in the mail. I call

2.5 stars. While the front desk staff was pleasant, I was left feeling unsatisfied with my first visit. I went to learn my options concerning my skin issues. The student who lead me into the room seemed nice enough, although she was very blunt and not very informative, going so far as to tell me strip down abruptly and then staring blankly at me for a few seconds before leaving the room. Dr. Walker, while knowledgeable seemed extremely condescending while talking to me, making me feel foolish for not knowing regular procedure, and interrupted/ignored me on three different occasions. Edit: I'm changing this to 5 stars. They reached out to me and discovered a clerical error, are refiling the insurance claim, and issuing a refund. I feel much better about this. Apparently the insurance company can wait up to a year to process claims. The care I received was very good, and now the discrepancies in the insurance have been sorted out.
