Services
Kid's Haven provides child care and preschooling for all children without regard to race, creed, religion, sex, or economic level. Therefore, we welcome all children with open arms. Admission includes the completion of registration form, permission slips, and health care summary. The registration fee is due at this time.
Each day you will receive a daily note via email, stating what your child ate, slept, diapering, and what they had fun doing throughout the day (Infants-Toddlers). Our preschool classrooms send out a memorable moment via email at least two times a week, unless you request a more detailed note daily.
At the heart of the Kid's Haven's approach to early childhood education is The Creative Curriculum, the country's leading scientifically based, comprehensive curriculum for programs serving children from birth to age 12.

Kid's Haven located in Buffalo, MN is a family owned and operated child care center founded by Terry Peterson. Terry started in the child care business doing home daycare in 1982. In 1986, she hired Shawna Fadden to assist her in her home daycare. Shawna has been the Assistant Director at Kid's Haven since it opened in 1991.
Kid's Haven Child Care Center serves meals that exceed the U.S.D.A. requirements for nutritious meals and snacks appropriate for the ages of each child. Our meals are kid friendly, nutritious and healthy. Sample menus are available upon request. Unopened formula will be stored in an area approved by the environmental health specialist.

Best daycare, hands down. We interviewed several facilities and in home care, and I felt the most comfortable with Kid's Haven ... and they have above and beyond exceeded my expectations - which, with a special needs child were VERY big! I love their expertise, their flexibility with scheduling, but most of all, my daughter LOVES her teachers and that's what matters most. The kids will tell the tale, and my daughter squeals in delight and claps her hands when I ask if she want's to go visit "Ms. (teachers name)" ... and they are the only people she freely goes to without having a meltdown, so I

When we began our search for the perfect daycare for our daughter a year ago we quickly decided on Kids Haven as our final choice. The peace of mind we felt knowing that the staff are highly trained and well educated, that the school has a 4 star parent aware rating, and the ability to see our daughter while we were away on the KidVision cameras was what we were seeking. After coming from an in home day care, we were apprehensive transitioning our child to a facility. Kids Haven came highly recommended by a friend of ours and it has not disappointed in the nearly two years our child has attended. We are absolutely certain that her development has benefited tremendously from the curriculum and daily interaction she receives at Kids Haven. The staff is excellent at communicating everything from concerns, to compliments and everything in between. I have a 6 month old who started at Kids Haven at 12 weeks old, when I returned to working full time. I was worried about leaving him in someone else's care, but Kids haven was highly recommended to me by my co-workers. I liked that they had us come in and get set up in advance and showed us around so I felt comfortable the first day. They called that first day and let me know how my little guy was doing and encouraged me to call anytime to check in, which made me feel more at ease. We love Kids Haven! Our daughter started at 12 weeks old. We were encouraged to visit prior to her start date and everyone was so welcoming and made us feel so comfortable. The staff is so friendly and you can tell they have a personal relationship with and truly care about every child in the room. On the first day they even called to let me know how she was doing! I don’t worry one bit about her while she is there and know that she is in great hands. I love that I get an email every day after I pick her up to show when she ate, napped, etc. - it has been a huge help in keeping a similar routine

Both our children have attended Kid's Haven since they were young, starting out in the infant room! Now one in preschool and one attending kindergarten, Kid's Haven has been a great place for transition, learning, and socializing . Every teacher does great at their job and have taught my kids so much! I will, and have recommended Kid's Haven to all friends and family! With not living in the Buffalo area, I still would not choose a different daycare facility for our children, its worth the drive!

Kid's Haven takes great care of my child! We recently moved from Buffalo to Cokato and I love Kid's Haven so much I just couldn't bare to move my son to a different childcare facility closer to our home. They have a wonderful staff that truly cares about the children they are caring for everyday. They have amazing hours and reasonable rate too! I would highly recommend Kid's Haven.

We recently had to change daycares due to a medical emergency. We were a little apprehensive to try a center but Kid's Haven came highly recommended. Our daughter has been there for about a month now and we love it. We get emails everyday giving a summary of her day, including pictures. The teachers in her room are very nice and seem to genuinely care about the kids. I like that there is a camera in her room so I am able to check in and see what she is doing. They bring out a variety of different toys and activities so I know she is getting exposure to a lot of different things. I love the hours

Kid's Haven has been the perfect child care for our kids, the teachers are wonderful and really work to provide an atmosphere that promotes learning and fun for the kids. The variety of curriculum each month is really nice and the daily electronic kubby notes have been great for knowing what happened during each day. Our children have learned so much from attending daycare at Kid's Haven and we can't imagine them going anywhere else! We also really appreciate that they offer flexible schedules so that we only pay for the hours that our kids are at daycare.

I have three kids that go to Kid's Haven. Our family has been using their daycare services for about eight years. For the most part it has been a good experience. They have well thought out activity schedules for each age group and plenty of fun field trips during the summer for school age kids. There are a variety of ways to make payments and you can choose to be on an hourly rate or a daily rate. My biggest complaint would be that some of the part time staff employees are not as organized or enthusiastic as the primary care staff, but it's never been a huge problem and tends to fluctuate.
