Design Tech High School
Students have creative impact on their environment through student-led initiatives, inventions, projects, clubs, and collaboration on and off campus. By using the tools of Design Thinking across all academic subject areas, and by partnering with teachers, classmates, and professionals, d.tech students learn to create the change they want to see in the world.

As a free, California public charter school, d.tech does not charge tuition. The school receives some public funding per student, supplemented with philanthropic donations to fulfill the mission and support student programs. Intersession design labs and exploration classes, and internships for upper grades provide students with numerous opportunities to work with industry partners and professional mentors before graduation.
Services
Our students include dancers, artists, composers, debaters, animal-rights activists, cultural affinity organizers, LGBTQ advocates, singers, songwriters, jazz musicians, athletes, gamers - from eSports to chess and D&D - to debaters, writers, journalists, coders, app designers and avid robotics competitors.
For constructing a state-of-the-art campus for d.tech, and countless volunteer hours training students and shepherding them through annual Oracle Open World Conference appearances to report on their innovations. Over the course of four years, volunteers enable students to experience a variety of educational experiences that broaden their world-view, shape their interests, and provide talking points as they approach postgraduate life.
Design Tech is a free public charter school that values diversity in race, ethnicity, gender, socio-economic level, sexual orientation, physical ability, family structure, and religion. Thank you for your interest in Design Tech. The school offers an innovative and engaging high school experience, solid preparation for college and post-graduate opportunities, and an environment that fosters self-efficacy, kindness, and teamwork.
There are many paths and goals for students after graduation, including four year and two year colleges, and career training. Kathleen Odell, our Beyond d.tech Counselor, helps you discover your aspirations and the steps to achieve them. Ninth and tenth graders assess their personal learning styles in Advisory group, and begin to identify areas of interest.
