Sally Cowal says, The improvement in Virginia wines over the decade before we arrived had been remarkable. When I was working in the State Department in the early nineties someone had the bright idea of serving Virginia wines in the diplomatic dining rooms. After all, Virginia was just across the Potomac River and the dining rooms looked out in that direction.
They speak of the climate. They even reveal things about how the vines were treated. But, just as many abused life forms become mute, you can silence vines through adulteration of their fruit. There are catalogs with hundreds of things to add to a wine. Resist the impulse. Muse chooses to make its Chardonnay using the classic Burgundy method of fermentation in oak barrels.
Membership is for a minimum of one year; after one year there is no commitment and you may cancel at any time; $100 early cancellation fee. Any changes in contact, billing, shipping information or returns should by communicated to Muse Vineyards as soon as possible to avoid delays. For members who opt to pick up wine releases, wine will be held for 30 days unless special arrangements are agreed to with management in writing.

Let's start by saying that on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, Muse Vineyards rates a 10!
The setting for the Winery is stunning situated in the Shenandoah Valley. To work up an appetite, we first took their nearly 2 mile hike through the vineyards and surrounding area.
Back in the tasting room we sampled all 7 wines on offer and we had several food selections including charcuterie board, soup, pulled pork, smoked salmon and cheese ball. The food was delicious and presented with a flair.
All wines were wonderful especially the Petit Verdot and the Cleo Bordeaux Blend. The prices are the best around

RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! Breathtaking views, BUT THAT IS IT! Not a very welcoming atmosphere! Our older waitress wasn’t that pleasant with her huffing and puffing every time we asked a question about different types of wines this vineyard offered. Maybe it was an inconvenience asking to taste wine.

My girlfriends and I came to Muse randomly as we wanted to just do some wine tasting . Unfortunately they weren’t offering tastings by the time we got there , but we still stayed and enjoyed a delicious bottle of wine . The night we went , there was actually a jazz trio playing there as well . The environment was wonderful and I would love to visit there again .

We came here once a year and a half ago on a Saturday and they were closed due to Covid... So, we came back recently and hoped they would be open this time and they were. This place gets very popular, so be prepared for large crowds!
The wines are just OK... nothing special. The staff was rushed, not very friendly and seemed like they were doing us a favor by helping us, rather than providing excellent service.
The venue is pretty, grounds are decent. Overall, I can say that we've gone and mark it off as another VA winery that we've been to. But I don't see making a special trip

We stopped at several wineries and this one is excellent! Awesome views, good wine, and good snacks. The patio downstairs offers comfy couches and heat lamps and lots of space.

Love love love this place. We have been back several times. The grounds are gorgeous, the wine is exceptional, the staff is kind, and it's dog friendly. The food is incredible, generous portions, and a reasonable price. We always go home with bottles, and we look forward to being back soon.

Highly recommend the Muse as a stop while in the Shenandoah Valley! Awesome wine collection and wine flight with best of their 5 wines to taste. Also a nice selection of appetizers to eat along with the wines. We ended up buying 2 of their Erato and Piquet wines.
However, despite the fine wine experience, Muse offers a great experience where you can walk the vineyards through a marked trail which takes to you past the winery, the upper and lower vineyards, a swinging bridge and back to the tasting room. Highly recommend doing the swinging bridge after a few glasses down 😁
We will certainly

Beautiful vineyard and building! The drive in is unique and the land is very well-maintained. Great wine and customer service. There is also a trail with different areas of the vineyard to explore.

Loved this winery! They have amazing wines. Some of my favorites were the Pichet and Clio, but really, most of them were great. I recommend getting the wine flight to taste several.
The food items were good too. The hummus made with boiled peanuts was different and delicious.

My wife and I went on a turnaround trip to Virginia/DC and took a liking to this quaint, relaxing getaway vineyard. Got to meet the staff and owners and felt the hospitality a mile away. Looking forward to seeing them again. Thank you

They have a very nice seating area, but that's about all I like. I have tried most of the wines and just don't care for them at all. The white wine, Cleo I think it is called, is pretty hard to drink. It kind of tastes corked or like bad cooking wine. The people working there seem kind of put out to serve me and there was a lip stick stain on my glass when they gave it to me. There are too many wineries in the area for them not to work hard to keep customers.

Getting to the vineyard is hard. Going to a one way road down a hill is not a way you want to go to a vineyard. Furthermore no signs for entrances and you may end up next to their neighbors private entrance. Wine is limited but the views are spectacular and the building is very modern. Service was good overall.

PSA BEFORE VISITING:

Muse is located across from the North Fork Shenandoah River. There is a small single lane bridge you can drive over to get to the vineyard. While we visited, this bridge flooded and there is no contingency plan in place for when this happens. We were made aware that the bridge was close to flooding while sitting at our table by the owner. We left quickly to find the bridge completely flooded, and we were stranded among many other visitors. The vineyard itself and the service up until this point were amazing. It would just have been more appropriate to give greater warning

Very relaxing place. Nice outdoor with tables and lounge chairs. Children are welcome.
Customer service could be better. Specially for greetings customer. Very cold. No hello or welcome. No explanation or small talk about the wine.
We got a paper from the bar that gives us some details about the wine. The tasting was good and great Charcuterie board.

Beautiful vineyard 2 miles off I-81 in Woodstock VA, and dog friendly too! At 68degree weather today was perfect for wine tasting even with beautiful Tucker Poo in tow! Wines are bordeaux style with french snacks as charcuterie, trout rillete to foie gras and other baguette accompanied hors dvores!....

Teresa, the sommelier, was friendly and engaging. I reserved a table on the terrace and got the perfect spot when I arrived, and my name was placed on a reservation card I saw it right away as se we approached!

Good vibe and beautiful and tranquil place with vines lined up along the dirt windy

This vineyard is gorgeous and considering we're in a pandemic, I have to add they're following all COVID-19 protocols, so we felt safe. Anyways, back to the venue and wine: we shared a flight and I liked most of them, I ended up leaving with 3 reds, I won't tell you which because you
should try the entire flight, but also ask for a sample of the Cab Franc because, yes, we did get a bottle of that.

So, good wine is amazing, but what's also amazing is a gorgeous view and friendly staff. This place has it all!

Muse vineyards is in a beautiful setting. I went on a weekend and everyone was sitting outside but we were lucky to score a table. My recommendation is to bring folding chairs as there is a ton of room to spread out! The staff was friendly and helpful and brought our flight outside to us. Everyone was being very respectful when it came to social distancing.
I should preface this next part with the fact that I don't normally love Virginia wines. I loved theirs though, most especially their whites! They were light but not bland with just a touch of sweetness- and I felt like the flavor was

First off the road running up to the winery is NOT Corvette friendly but it's an adventure! The winery is very nice, set up perfectly for consumers. Get the flight of wine. It comes to you displayed very nice check out the pictures. Their Chardonnay is aged in stainless steel very nicely done. Their best is their red blend (Clio). They did not have their PV for tasting. Just means I have to go back. We tried a couple of pizzas very good. They are dog friendly. The staff is very friendly. Definitely a winery to visit. SWaddell.

Stopped in for a bottle for dinner at our rally. 10 bucks a tasting. ...really???? The tasting didn't even add up to even a half a glass of wine, and we didn't get a chance to try what we were interested in. Purchased a bottle of rose, enjoyed 1 glass with a beautiful view.

Great wine, awesome owners and a killer vibe from the atmosphere inside and out. We were surprised with the quality of the wines at Muse and the different approaches by the winemaker. There is a lot on the tasting menu to be excited for but I personally enjoyed the smooth Bordeaux blend Clio.

Muse has an amazing staff and great event turnouts for their wine club. We always enjoy the drive to Muse/through Warrenton. Muse has great wine, a good amount of parking (mostly hillside), reasonable prices and snacks!! You should definitely visit here!!
