River Run is happy to announce its new expansion to our campground. This will include a full hookup RV park located just across the road from River Run Campground. More information under the RV Park Tab. We are full for the 2021 camping season. Something we hear a lot and read about in our reviews is people are really surprised about the pay showers at River Run Family Campground.
Water conservation, preventing river pollution and EPA regulations are the main reasons for our coin operated showers. According to the EPA River Run Family Campground is a Transient Non-Community Water System (TNCWS): A public water system that provides water in a place such as a gas station or campground where people do not remain for long periods of time and we are subject to EPA rules.

I stayed here this past weekend. The place is disgusting. The bathrooms are so small you can barely use them. There is no sinks in the restrooms at all?! There is a pandemic ppl can’t wash their hands. Let’s go to the shower?? Oh my it was nasty for two days a dirty tampon sat inside the last stall. The shower house also is not free. You have to pay .25 cents for a min and a half. Mind you if we’re paying for the shower can they at least be clean?!! My whole 3 day stay that shower house was filthy! Never return again. Usually go to Mohican Adventure campground. I left a day earlier than I

3 PAY showers per gender that we could find, $2/day for wifi (though then the signal is good), $5 for extra car parking pass, $10/ extra person per night. At $45+/ night and a TON of nightly and seasonal sites, you'd think they wouldn't nickel and dime customers. If any industry is profiting more since COVID, it's campgrounds (and streaming platforms).
Also, the electric boxes are either at the very front or very back of most of the sites, so you either have to risk tripping over long extension cords, or people park sideways. People per, car per, and especially tent/camper per site rules aren

We have been camping at River Run since I was about 10 years old and we've always loved camping here! The staff is friendly and the campsites are great. There's lots of sites by the river and plenty of sites in the middle of the campground too. There's a pool, playground, and basketball court as well! The lodge area is nice too. Everyone that camps here is always friendly :) We love camping at River Run and highly recommend it!!
