Laguna Family Optometry

Just went here earlier to get my eye exam and glasses. Everyone I spoke with was super polite. They were all very helpful. They didnt take me right away so I could look around a bit first. When I was called back the guy that did my prep work was very polite. The Optometrist that I had was Dr. Huey (not certain on the spelling) He was kind and very informative. We discussed my vision and spoke about what is wrong with my eyes. He was super helpful and I left without the need to ask any additional questions.
Right now they have a few things different due to covid but everyone was so helpful and

Never going back this place again. Front desk employee was very rude, no greetings at all. Male eye examiners was too pushy about appointment, not a good behavior. It seems he is the owner and feels like he got his family members working there. Very unfriendly experience and no diversity of employees.

We have been using their services for 2 years, 4 people from my family, they have new updated equipment's and a large selection of frames. We had good experience with Dr. Don (very professional and respectful). However this time around when we had our appointment my family dealt with Dr. Larry (Horrible human being, No personality, Rude). I had my appointment with Dr. Don, however I had some issues in one of my eyes so I went back three days later and only Larry was available. He refused to even hear what problem I was experiencing, then he said that seeing me was going to disrupt his lunch. I

This was the first and last time I will be buying from this place. When looking they were very rude, made no contact or attempt to help. Then when I said I wanted to buy, all the sudden I was honey , sweetie and let me help you. The actual wait to get the glasses was extremely long, then not even a month after having them the anti reflection coating peeled off. But of course they tried to blame me. Asking me what product do I use and am I using hair spray with my glasses on. I made it very clear I don't use make up and and sure as hell don't use hair spray for health reasons. Two stars because the staff is great, Dr. Huey, not so much. He does not return calls or respond to emails when there is a problem, and instructs staff to provide contact lenses that are inconsistent with prescription. I would not recommend making an appointment with Dr. Huey.

I have been going to Dr. Huey since elementary school when he was located within another practice. Their staff is wonderful and remembers you. Their attentiveness and quick communication is awesome. Additionally their office is always clean and glasses offerings have always been current fashion as well as available styles in every budget. I would highly recommend Dr. Huey and all of his staff to those looking to develop partnership with a new optometrist.

A few months ago, they had assured me that they carried ProDesign and that they could even send my current old pair to the labs to get the lenses changed to a new prescription. Once I had my new insurance, I scheduled an eye exam. They did not have anything open until a month later. I finally went to my appointment today, only to hear from another manager that they "have not carried ProDesign in years". I was extremely disappointed, because they had completely wasted my time. I highly do NOT recommend anyone to go to this location. I have taken my business elsewhere.
