Hi there, I'm Emily. My passion for counseling was born out of my own struggles with anxiety. I remember sitting on the kitchen floor of my parents house (in college), crying over a jar of spaghetti sauce that I'd forgotten to buy at the store. Like, really crying. It felt like the end of the world.

Do you ever feel stuck? Thought to yourself "is this all there is?" If you have, I'm here to tell you: you are not alone. Maybe you're anxious or feeling down. Perhaps it's a relationship you feel unsure about or maybe your career isn't as fulfilling as you once thought it would be. If you found yourself relating to any of the above, I'm here to help.

As a counselor, I want to meet you where you're at and work from the inside out to address the core of your behaviors and create lasting change. As a Licensed Addiction Counselor who has worked primarily in dual diagnosis (diagnoses of substance use + mental health disorder) for the last four years, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in chemical dependency and process addictions.

There is a large gap between the local church and mental health needs, and there is an alarming and increasing number of suicides within the church, including pastors and church leaders.

Because of this, I want to do what I--one person who sees a need--can to help bridge that gap by offering mental health and addiction consultations to ministry leaders so that the church can better equip themselves to deal with the rising number of serious issues the church body is experiencing.Working in ministry--in whatever capacity--can be draining.

Please contact me regarding insurance. At this time, I take United, Cigna, Anthem, Kaiser, and Blue Cross Blue Shield (PPO only). I do require you to make an account with my billing company in order to use your insurance. We can chat more about this if you wish to use your insurance.

I believe everyone should have access to counseling regardless of their finances, therefore, I do take a select number of sliding scale clients for those going through a financial hardship.Contact me for details. I will be glad to talk to you briefly on the phone but do not conduct therapy sessions over the phone unless there is an extenuating circumstance, and in these cases, normal session rates will be applied.
