Morganton Animal Clinic has been an important part of the Burke County community for over 40 years. The clinic was founded by Dr. Don Hemstreet in 1972 and a few years later Dr. Sam Pearson partnered with him. For many years they grew and nurtured the clinic into a place where the patients and clients felt like family.

Dr. Callahan graduated from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Early in her career she served as an Associate Veterinarian at Rutherford Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Callahan is a native of Morganton and in 2006, she and her family moved back to the area. She was blessed to work with Dr. Sam Pearson and Dr. Don Hemstreet first as a partner, then in 2010 became the sole owner of Morganton Animal Clinic.

Sherri joined the MAC family 2 years ago. She will celebrate 23 years of marriage this year with her high school sweetheart, Trenton. They share their home with three amazing fur babies; Rosa (16 year old Chihuahua), Jasmine (3 year old German Shepherd) and Maverick (1 year old Dachshund). Sherri loves spending time with her goddaughter, Kinzley.
