When I founded TerraNichol Academy of The Arts Preschool in 2006, I did so with a singular purpose- strengthening families and the foundation of the community. It has been an honor and a privilege to watch that happen. We are here to offer each family with early childhood information, skills, resources and support.
Terra Tominelli Founder of TerraNichol Academy of The Arts had a dream to open a preschool with an environment rich of possibilities, where learning would be meaningful and visible to the community and parents would be considered as partners. Terra's dream of creating a preschool that "re-----thinks what education should look like" became reality in 2006.

Imagine that you are 4 years old again. You're wearing your favorite dress or your best pair of sneakers that make you run super fast! You have brushed your teeth, had a yummy breakfast and are ready for school. In the car you are thinking about what your day has in store for you. As you arrive you say good morning to your teachers and look around.
TerraNichol Academy embraces constructivist education while incorporating the Reggio Approach to projects and learning. Constructivism is not a "method" of teaching, but rather a theory regarding how we all learn. Constructivist educators put the emphasis on the process, and instead of how "best to teach", we strive for "how best to learn".

There are not enough words to describe what an amazing school Terra Nichol Academy of the Arts truly, TRULY is. The Reggio Emilia approach curriculum that is taught here brings such an innovative way of learning for children of all ages. The teaching team here is made up of the most highly qualified, dedicated, nurturing, and compassionate humans who continuously set a wonderful example!! Having 2 children who have attended, and currently attend school here we have 100% confidence knowing once our girls are dropped off they are being empowered and encouraged every moment of their day. It is a dream school for children, our daughter couldn't be happier! They have a daily rhythm which includes wonderful activities- a beautiful playscape, morning yoga and zumba, arts, science, gardens, tea, non-waste lunches, eco-friendly. Reggio Emilia approach. I can't say enough good things about it, even the enrollment pricing is very competitive.
We are very lucky to live here and have TerraNichol Arts School in our community.
