Hope TMS & Neuropsychiatric Center
These are truly exciting times in Neuropsychiatry. The practice and science of modern day psychiatry has advanced tremendously over the last two decades. These significant advances combined with the latest research in the fields of neuroscience, psychopharmacology, psychology and technology have guided us to a finer, more acute understanding in how we analyze the mind, the brain and the body and the interconnections between them.

As a result, patients seeking treatment today have many more options accessible to them and greater hope for relief from their problems. Hope TMS of NY proudly offers patients these individual-tailored, evidence-based treatment options, including non-invasive/non-systemic treatments for adults with major depression and other neuropsychiatric conditions, that uses magnetic stimulation of the brain to help control mood.
Services
At Hope TMS and Neuropsychiatric Center, we strive to help patients find long-term relief from mental health and addiction treatment issues. The common misconception of mental illness is that the only treatment involves medication or in-patient care at a facility. In reality, there are many patients who continue active mental health treatment while functioning in their everyday life.
By gathering information on the patient's medical history and current condition, we can customize the treatment to their individual needs. Our goal is to help the patient find effective coping methods and techniques that help them to lead a happier and healthier life. In order to do that, we need to customize the treatment approach to the patient's needs.
BrainsWay has revolutionized the treatment of depression and OCD. With BrainsWay's unique therapy, you can regain a sense of well-being and enjoy a better quality of life in just a few weeks. BrainsWay's Deep TMS therapy is effective*, safe and generally well-tolerated* for people with these common brain disorders.
Treating a mental illness or condition typically involves a combination of therapy, customized treatment methods and medication. While prescriptions medications, such as antidepressants or anti-anxiety medication, can help control symptoms of a mental health condition, that is only possible when supervised by a medical professional.
The idea that any mental illness is treatable with just medication is a stereotype that continues to grow. In reality, mental health treatment involves much more than prescription medication. Nonetheless, medication does play an important role in the overall treatment of many conditions. It is important to find medical professionals who can prescribe the proper amount of medication in conjunction with other treatment methods.

Good doctor, has been helping my brother manage his condition and I've personally witnessed him talking with him for over an hour. Totally not expected with psychiatrist of today who just give you pills and move onto the next one. This doctor cares!

Having struggled with Bipolar Disorder and other comorbid conditions for
the past ten years, it hasn't been easy to find a good doctor that truly listens and cares for its patients. Most of the times I found doctors who instead were quick to prescribe medications indiscriminately.
However, this hasn't been the case at Dr. Ruiz' office. Starting from his receptionists, Yoshi and Narendra, they have been patient and pleasant every time I had interacted with them. Often times, I have witnessed them remaining extremely patient and exhibiting the outmost professional behavior, amidst the rudeness

I have been a patient of Doctor Ruiz for a little over two years and I've always received a pleasant treatment by the staff. Furthermore, Dr. Ruiz has been extremely accommodating and empathetic regarding my condition. Has always been available, even in a short notice, and has always lend me a listening ear at times when I was going through a crisis. Though I live considerably far, I choose to come to this office because of the outstanding service, time exclusivity, and care that Dr. Ruiz and his team have provided me. I have struggle with my condition for almost ten years and I haven't found a

To start off, the man at the front desk is rude, never had a pleasant interaction with him. When first meeting Dr. Ruiz I thought his manner was unprofessional and he wasn’t listening to me, going in one ear and out the other. He was trying to constantly push TMS on me and I was not interested. At one point in our appointment he asked me how I was paying and if my parents had $$$…he isn’t a professional, he just wants your money…He prescribed me ketamine nasal spray at a price of $600 not including the cost of the appointment. When I went back to receive the medication he gave me a bottle

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ACTUAL TREATMENT RESISTANT DEPRESSION, DR. RUIZ WILL MAKE YOUR CONDITION SUBSTANTIALLY WORSE.
I tried TMS with Dr. Ruiz. My intake appointment was less than one hour; he did not get my full background but he did clear me for TMS. It was horribly painful, and I had severe side effects such as memory loss and dissociative episodes. It got to be so bad, that I had to take a medical leave from work. When I told Dr. Ruiz about the negative side effects, he just stopped replying to me. I went to Dr. Ruiz in October 2020. I called and sent messages until Jan 2021. I have not
