Robert was introduced to yoga at the age of 7 by his father who began practicing yoga in the 1950's. Robert felt an immediate connection to yoga at that time and became fully immersed in the practice in 1987 after suffering a back injury while skydiving.

Intensive personal practice and study with some of the finest teachers including Dean Lerner (Senior Iyengar Teacher), Tim Miller (Ashtanga), Kali Ray (Tri-yoga Flow), Yogi Hari (Classical), Andrei Sidersky (Esoteric), Angela Farmer and Victor Van Kooten (Innovative Exploration), turned an obstacle into an opportunity.Robert was certified to teach in 1992 through the Yoga Vedanta, Science, and Arts Center under Yogi Hari & Leela Mataji.
This class is for all levels of practice ranging from new to continuing students. The class format is moderately paced and will provide breath-work, warm-up, and foundational postures in a vinyasa flow (integrating the breath with movement). Modifications and variations will be given during the practice.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes mindfulness. It is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual enlightenment and self-improvement that everyone can use. Reiki is also beneficial as one component in the treatment of illness and malady and can create a beneficial effect.
Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is conscious awareness of the deep sleep state. The practice has been found to reduces tension and anxiety. Traces of the day will fade away, time stops and stillness arises. This sleep with awareness will induce full-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness.
We recommend 2-3 classes per week. Yoga is a practice so you can take as many as you like but the learning happens with repetition & a home practice if possible. Reiki is energy work, so what's that mean? Our body is made up of energy. Reiki sessions are done lying down. Wear comfortable clothing; it does not have to be yoga clothing.

Three Rives Yoga provides quality classes, every day of the week. The instructors at this studio teach their students how to do yoga poses, as opposed to simply calling out the name of a pose and expecting students to know how to get into it. Clear, easy to follow instructions are given throughout class. Each class progresses from simple to more complex poses, with a final relaxation at the end of class. At Three Rivers, one learns how to practice yoga in a mindful way. A lot of emphasis is put on allowing your body to open slowly, with the breath, in order to avoid injury. All of the teachers

Prenatal Yoga Program with Nadia is fantastic! Class sizes are small and you get a lot of personal time. I have never done Yoga before and Nadia really helped me with all my pregnant poses. I will be back every Thursday @ 7pm!!
