Services
Carter Psychology Center, founded by Dr. Debra K. Carter in 1987, offers comprehensive mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Carter Psychology Center offers general therapeutic and diagnostic services including treatment for mood and behavior disorders, relationship concerns, memory and cognitive concerns, academic problems, as well as personal growth and development.
Psychotherapy includes assessment and diagnosis to determine an appropriate course of care and to be sure that treatment targets the underlying problem, not just the symptoms. Your doctor will ask you about your current symptoms, how long these symptoms have been present, and the impact on your life.
Neuropsychologists are licensed psychologists whose field of study is concentrated on brain functioning. The brain is an incredibly complex organ that governs our bodies, guides our thoughts, and filters our feelings. When something goes wrong with the brain, it is imperative to find out exactly how that affects a person's thoughts, emotions and behavior.
Healthy, stable families are the foundation of our communities. Our family services programs are dedicated to identifying and addressing mental health needs, alcohol and drug issues, as well as loss and life transition. We offer an array of services that are designed to assist families in attaining healthier lifestyles, rewarding interpersonal relationships, and an enhanced quality of life.
A life coach is someone professionally trained to help you maximize your full potential and achieve your goals. Professionally trained coaches are senior professionals who bring the experience, knowledge, support, objectivity, perspective and insight that you need to overcome obstacles, think out of your normal box, and reach your objectives.

Do not use these people. They do not understand what they are doing, work poorly with other professionals and took money for services which they did not render.

I have never had such poor care from a Doctor. Dr. Carter showed no concern for human beings in my experience. Scary to think she is in the business to help people. She should receive some quality mental health care herself. I have never read a good review on her and she has been pracising for like 30 years. Maybe its time for her to retire.

Very poor customer service. Showed up 10 minutes late due to traffic and wouldn't see me. Rescheduled and no one confirmed it and I have a business card saying it was the following Friday. Now won't reschedule because I missed and appointment without paying a 75.00$ missed appointment fee. Place is a joke and a rip off. I just need my test results. No one use this place. Front desk people are all unfriendly and not helpful. I'm in the hospitality business and this is not how you should treat clients.

Mr/Dr Spellman is a very condescending therapist. Obviously we did not get along. During our session, it felt as if he was a police interrogator. He did little to nothing to help, and thank GOD, he referred me to another therapist. He had me fill out tests, and told me to wait for him for "closing statements". Waited 45 minutes. He was finally located and claimed he did not tell me to wait. He needs some relaxation therapy!!! Will give this place another try.......with another therapist.

After making an appointment for a Psychological Evaluation, I was told by this center my insurance does not cover. The test was to cost $600 and $300 in addition my $40 co pay would be due at the time of testing. I contacted my insurance company who said it was covered. Several calls, lots of time wasted, finally a senior rep from my insurance company had to call Carter to say they were in network, the procedure should come under specialist co pay and there should be $0 out of pocket amount. Carter then told me I would have to pay three $40 co-pays. $40 co-pay for the test, $40 to write the report
