Let me preface this by saying I am not one to post reviews. However I do read them. That is why I feel the need to post this review.
I found Lari on the internet. She's close to my area and her reviews were good enough so I took a chance and I'm so glad I did.
My hair is a mess. It's thin and always ends up turning a light brassy reddish color over time. It's dry, over processed and has a lot of split ends.
Lari listened to exactly what I wanted and she made my hair look healthy and amazing.
I got highlights because I'm getting more grey's filtering in at 42 and I want to camouflage them while

I had a wonderful experience with Lari and was so glad I hired her to do my wedding hair and makeup. At the last minute, a couple of my bridesmaids had decided they wanted to get makeup done for the wedding as well, and Lari and her team were super accommodating and professional about the adjustment. The whole bridal party looked gorgeous and Lari and her team were responsible for it!

Lari is the first of the vendors that I hired for my wedding that I'm sitting down to review because she was the absolute best. Of all the things that can go wrong on your wedding day, your hair and makeup is one of the more high-stakes – and with Lari, you're in good hands. She's a true professional in every sense but also fun to talk to and very laid back. She made me and all of my bridesmaids feel at ease in her chair.

If you're looking for a hair and makeup artist for a wedding in the Hudson Valley, Lari and her team should be at the top of your list of potential candidates. She's totally down to earth, professional, and is far more experienced than many of the other stylists I was also considering. My bridal style turned out absolutely gorgeous, and Lari gave me tons of ideas for hair products that I can use in the future.

I'm so glad I found Lari! I moved to the area last year and didn't think I would find anyone who I felt comfortable with cutting my hair. (I had been with the same stylist for 20 years until I moved.) But Lari knew exactly what I wanted and I love my new cut! I will definitely be going back for my next cut!

That is simply not true, you did not clean your makeup brushes until I asked you to, and you did not use disposables. I also did not receive any of the other face products you mentioned. Your license is not posted and your makeup is extremely dirty. Once again I had to ask you to clean the brushes, and there were absolutely no disposable brushes used. Very unfortunate excuse for a "business"

I had such a great experience with Lari. I came to her with dried out, over processed hair and trying to grow out my last cut. She listened and understood my concerns and knew exactly how to approach my 'hairy' situation. ;) I left with great new highlights, a lovely cut, and deep conditioning that didn't break the bank. So happy to have found Lari and look forward to having her be my go-to stylist. She's a great person and true professional. A real gem.

At long last someone who really gets curly hair. Lari gave me a cut that I can just wash and shake. These past few super humid days my hair looks better. How is that even possible? No more bad hair days, it's so perfect as is I don't even have the desire to blow it out. BTW, I've got fine curly locks. A stylist who's super nice, talented, earthy, and located in uber cool Hudson- I'm thrilled!!!

I am so glad I found Lari through Yelp! I was well overdue for a haircut and booked her on a whim. She really listened to my preferences and the look I was going for and executed it flawlessly. At no point during the cut did I feel the need to give any additional feedback or guidance, although I could tell she would have been entirely receptive to it. The entire process with wash, cut, and blow dry took just under an hour, which I find to be very efficient. She was also nice to chat with, and her at-home salon is clean and welcoming. I will definitely be back.

Having just moved to this area, I was in need of a new hair stylist. That task is always daunting, and I read a lot of different reviews for stylists around the Hudson/Catskill area before I called Lari.
Not only did she listen to my ideas, but she offered her own and I am so glad I listened! I walked out with a cut I love and so relaxed from the cozy atmosphere and friendly conversations we had.

I brought my boyfriend's 14 year daughter to see Lari to help save a disastrous cut she received at one of those franchise chain places. Lari was wonderful! Not only did she give her a great haircut, she also recommended easy ways for he to take care of it. This review is long over due... And I apologize to Lari for taking so long to leave her feedback! I saw Lari for the first time months ago. She colored my hair with great products, my hair looked and felt great once it was done. She used the bayalage technique on my hair and I absolutly loved it. I'm growing my hair out so it really helped to be low maintenance so I didn't have to keep going back to get my roots done--- like my usual highlights. I'm actually planning on making another appointment with her soon to do it again :)
