I called in need of some serious help for my over processed dull hair on a Friday and she was more than accommodating with a late Saturday appointment. I went in looking frumpy and came out fabulous. I just love my new look. Janet really understood my hair and what I was looking for. Great conversation, fun time and awesome cut!

I am new to the area and Janet did a wonderful job not only on my hair but my 2 kids as well. My son is 3 and she was so patient with him!! I love ny hair cut her years of experience and training was very evident in how she was able to cut my hair, which isn't the easiest being very fine and very thin. It looks fuller and she gave me tips in styling it as well. I will definitely be going back to her in the future!!! You will not be disappointed with your experience!!

I have never been quite able to pick the right cut or communicate it well enough. Always fantasized about a stylist that could choose the best style for me based on my face shape, my profession and personality. Janet is this dream come true. She listens but has her own ideas and she has given me the best cuts I have ever had. Not boring, not outrageous but fun and flattering. Tried purple highlights today. She did a perfect job. Blended the purple in nicely with my natural hair. Received many compliments tonight at a fundraiser.

JAZ Hair Design is a true find!! A gem, a best kept secret!! I moved here from NYC 2 months ago and thought I'd had to keep going back to keep my hair styled the way I like it ... now I feel like I would even come up here from the City to have Janet handle my hair. She is a pro, a natural - my (long) hair looks silky, healthy, shiny, it will last me a few months I know it. The products she uses are first rate and she truly keeps her price super-fair (can't get that in the City) - I think if she was in the City I could not even afford her - she is THAT good!! The atmosphere in her salon is so unique

Went to JAz after botched haircut(more like a chop job) at another salon.She understood that I was upset from the urgency in my voice. We talked about how she could work on getting the foundation of my hair right so that styling would sort of take care of itself with getting a proper cut and a bit of time growing out. Explained many things on working my hair and how to properly blow dry my hair. Came home with styled hair not a “bad hair day” Will be going back since she has the “art of styling”. Very happy now.

Janet is an absolute wizard with hair! She has a natural talent for hair cutting, coloring and styling. The minute I walk in I can see the wheels turning in her head. But she also listens to your wants and needs. You will walk out the door (of her funky quirky salon) with a beautiful hairstyle and loads of advice on how to maintain a healthy head of hair. I WILL NOT go anywhere else and neither should you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Wow, I am blown away by Janet's work at JAZ Hair Design. I called her, because of a hair emergency; my 6 year old son had cut his own hair AGAIN, because his hair was always in his eyes and I was trying to get him to grow out his bangs. Janet is fantastic! She is creative and non traditional in her work but, you will not leave unhappy. She will spend time on you and ensure you will not leave her place dissatisfied. I myself, like a hair… dresser with her own style and 'out of the box' method to hair. I have been using her for over two years now and find her exceptional!

I walked in a hot mess and left feeling like a rock star! Janet is a talented creative soul who knows how to cut hair. I have thick grey hair, it was dry and limp with an old cut that I had "trimmed" myself. She knew just what to do, talks you thru the whole cut, and explained the science of hair, I can't recommend her enough. Her place has a happy carefree vibe and her prices are reasonable. Do your hair a favor and call her.

Was driving through town up from Brooklyn. Stopped by without an appointment and had just a minimum wait. As a plus there is a very cute and friendly dog there who kept me company while I waited. Janet was super friendly and did an amazing job on my hair. She also trimmed my beard and gave me some great tips about my hair. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area!
