A basic plan can help you make the most of your appointment whether this will be your initial consultation or the follow up visit. Make a list of what you want to discuss. Are you concerned about how a treatment is affecting your daily life? If you have more than a few items to discuss, put them in order and ask about the most important ones first.

Alla took the time to help me in my most fragile state. She created a clear and easy plan for me. It felt wonderful to know I wasn't alone. I felt better after the first appointment. The next week, at our follow-up, I was doing significantly better. I saw Alla over the next two years, to make sure my medications were accurate and to keep my on plan. It was an absolute joy meeting with her. She would even take the time to chat with me about life and things that I wanted to discuss. This is where the real doctor patient relationship began. I thank Alla for saving my life. She truly did. I ended

I've been a patient of Dr. Iospa now for about 4 years and her patience, genuine care, and proactive ways naturally created a nourishing relationship one normally doesn't experience with psychiatrists. She really helped me have patience with myself to find the best course of treatment for me. I've never lasted this long nor had this much success with any psychiatrist and she is around my 6th here in my 20 years in NY. Because she really cares, it helped me care about my mental health more. If you go, and you feel grateful after a time, be sure to let her know. :)

I have been going to Dr. Iospa for four years now and she has helped me so much. She helped me get a good therapist, the medication that I need, she addresses any questions or concerns I might have, explains her decisions when it comes to changing or maintaining my medication, and listens to any request I have when it comes to my medication. I have always been able to reach Dr. Iospa or her office when I need help. My life has changed for the better under her care and I will be forever grateful to her for this.

Dr.Iospa is not only kind but extremely caring. Whenever you need to reach her or if there is an emergency she is always available and extremely attentive. The office staff is also extremely helpful and her assistant Inna is wonderful. She helped me tremendously with saving money on my prescriptions and went above and beyond to find coupons for me to use at the pharmacy since my insurance would not cover the medication. Whenever I need to see the doctor urgently they always do their best to accommodate me. Overall wonderful doctor and staff who truly care about their patients.

After the secretary gathered all the necessary info regarding my history, I was told I was get a call back after her discussion with the doctor. The following day, I was told that the MD had no availability for the next 3 months (not something that was mentioned initially.) After inquiring if I should call back in a month I was still told, NO, the doctor has no availability. It was clear that this physician choses her patients based on the diagnosis and history of illness, and whether or not she believes it will be convenient for her to attempt treatment. There wasn't any discussion with the

I feel compelled, during this season of giving and receiving, to write this testemonial of gratitude for the gift of Dr Alla Iospa's expertise, patience, time and dedication --and especially for her compassion and loyalty over the six years she has been my psychiatrist. I was referred to see her for mental health services by an internist I had seen due to physical complications associated with my mental health comorbidity. Despite only partial insurance coverage, she agreed to see me anyway, absorbing the part of the fee that was not reimbursed. I have suffered over 5 decades from a very

When I called to make my first appointment with this psychopharmacologist, her secretary told me to bring my EKG and blood work, but forgot to tell me to bring my psychiatric and neurological histories, the two most crucial reports necessary for any doctor in mental health to know how to treat my increasingly very-involved case. And there would have been more than enough time to get them because my appointment wasn't going to be for over a month. But I didn't know I needed them. At the end of that appointment, Iospa said I was beyond her capabilities but told me to bring those reports
