I've been in therapy for years and this is the first time I found someone who was able to help me through the worst of my depression and anxiety. I was ready to accept a mediocre life, but with Dr. Dokun's help, everything turned around. I'm so grateful to finally get my life back.

Dr. Meadows is thoughtful, thorough and rigorous in his approach to crafting the perfect medical support plan that WORKS. He insures that the plan works with and not against my other medical conditions and ensures that there is a plan A, B and C.

Vanessa Baumback was so exceptional! I do not know how psychotherapist do their work because l have never been to one until recently. She talked and listened carefully to pick all details. A magnificent clinician. Very caring, understanding, and well adept. He provides a safe environment that fosters great counseling and feedback. From a clinical standpoint, he is very conscientious of the patient's needs if treatment is needed. Could not ask for a better clinician. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

I am incredibly thankful for Dr. Dokun and the practice he is running. I had been working through talk therapy for a while and then finally my counselor had suggested that I check out this practice for some ways to get the best help, and I am so glad that I did.

Dr Dokun changed my daughter’s life from one of sometimes severe depression, to stable, manageable life to now, showing true self love, back to her loveable personality. He also then helped me enhance my life, helping me to a much happier place. Thank You

Healthy Minds has been a godsend for my family. As a physician, I believe that my expectations are likely higher than the average citizen. That being said, I find the staff of Healthy Minds, to be highly professional and skilled. The availability of the therapists is equally impressive. My daughter is a college student and they were quickly able to set appointments to meet her busy schedule. Similarly, emails and inquiries to the office are answered in a timely fashion. On a final note, I am deeply impressed by the diversity of the team. I would highly recommend Healthy Minds to anyone seeking

I began therapy here in January 2020. The Counselor I have been seeing has been great. However, there is an issue with the payment plan. Per my agreement, I pay a specific fee, until my deductible is met. This would mean that my co-pay is only $60, but am still paying $75. Yes people, my insurance is telling me that the deductible was met, but I am still paying the extra fee. When I reached out in May, I had to be very strong in my tone to even get help. Counseling is very taboo in my community, but I made an effort.

UPDATE: (PER THE DIRECTOR'S RESPONSE):
Your understanding is wrong

My husband and I did a pre-martial course and it was the best thing we could have done prior to getting married. We learned a lot of important tools that will help us in our marriage, and were also able to work through some issues that had come up during our sessions with our therapist.

The fact that we could do video conference was huge, as we both have very busy lives. Would definitely recommend this place!

Was treated for anxiety by Dr. Dokun with medicine, and CBT, and it greatly improved my life. My relationships with others, and especially myself, have become stronger. As I'm slowly weening myself off of the medicine, the tools I've learned using CBT have kept me balanced. The doctor was helpful, and quick to respond to my questions about my medicine and insurance. Would recommend to those seeking treatment for anxiety, depression, et. al.

Honestly, I wouldn't trust a company that the first thing out of their mouth is "Can you Pay?" That's why I pay a premium for United Healthcare through my job!

I spoke with a Care Coordinator yesterday and she told me that they work through out-of-network and that my co-pay might be about $100. She then said that I should look somewhere else. I feel like I was being brushed off. The website says they accept UHC and I expect a co-payment, but she didn't attempt to contact UHC for an exact amount and didn't try to get me the information I needed.

Lesson learned and

I am very happy with the service I had through Healthy Minds NYC. The therapist I worked with used a variety of techniques to guide me through challenges with career and relationships, providing me with strategies that I am now able to deploy on my own. I've had several therapists in my life, and I can say with certainty that the service from Healthy Minds was the most helpful for me.

I've worked with several therapists in my life, and Dr. Dokun has been the best. He used a number of techniques, including CBT, to give me ways to deal with anxiety as embodied in my relationships and my work life. We worked together and met normally once a week for approximately three years (including time before Dr. Dokun began Healthy Minds), and my life is much better for it.

I have been seeing Dr. Meadows since November. I have really enjoyed my time with him. Seeing a psychiatrist can seem like a very scary endeavor, especially when you know something is wrong and things are going to change. But after my mom had some health problems in the fall, I knew I needed to do everything I could to get myself in better health. Seeing Dr. Meadows feels like the best decision I could have made. He walked me through medication options and got me on the right regimen, and then we started to work through all the ways I can rebuild my life from how I had basically let it deteriorate

They have multiple locations and multiple therapists so this one is a specific review for 280 madison avenue location and athena tritaris, lmft - quite honestly, athena was not the type of therapist we're looking for but everybody has their own style so i will refrain from opining on her style. my biggest issue with this place/her was the initial experience. i had gotten referred to healthy minds from a friend who's had a good experience with a therapist there but it wasn't this location and this therapist so i guess that doesn't matter. when you get to this specific office
