Depression is the most common psychological disorder in our culture. 34 million American adults suffer from depression every year. It can be triggered by external events (loss of a loved one, loss of a job or career, financial setback, etc.) or internal events (i.e. Clinical depression is more than a sad mood.
Anxiety Disorders cover a broad range of clinical symptoms. Mild manifestations include vague feelings of uneasiness, while, at the other end of the continuim exist paralyzing feelings of terror. Some anxiety is a normal part of daily life and is appropriate and even useful in some situations. It can heighten awareness and mobilize internal resources to manage the challenge at hand.
In a family with two parents, the most important relationship is the one between them - the executive relationship. The parent(s) model for their children how people treat one another, show care and respect for one another, how to nurture and foster growth and development, and how to negotiate conflicts.
While gays and lesbians have achieved many gains in the social, political and cultural spheres in recent years, widespread discrimination continues to exist. If you sometimes feel alone and unable to overcome the obstacles that homophobia places in your way, maybe counseling can help. Many, many gays and lesbians have found a way to live authentically and with integrity, transcending the bigotry and hatred they encounter.

I recommend to find an LCSW with behavioral accountability, integrity. Mr. Harris saw my (ex-)spouse through seven years, befriended him and ignored me reaching out to him twice. I anticipated a professional manner that I found lack of.
