Services
Our Chiropractic service focuses on the relationship between structure and function and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health without the use of drugs or surgery. Massage therapy and bodywork relieves muscle tension, stimulates blood circulation, creates a pleasant sensation on the skin, and assists the lymphatic system in the elimination of toxins throughout the body.
Dr. Rick founded Newport Wellness Center in 1997, to be a positive reflection of his belief in the triad of health. He believes, to truly achieve wellness, equilibrium is required structurally, chemically, and emotionally. His journey that lead to Newport Wellness Center started more than 30 years ago, when he encountered a sports-related shoulder injury that led to a curvature of the spine, or Scoliosis.

There are five parts to the vertebral Subluxation Complex (commonly known as "Subluxation"). Given enough time, all five parts may exist. Abnormal positioning may lead to shortened muscle tissue with decreased strength and flexibility, as well as to scar tissue development. Continued pressure on the nerve due to subluxation, may lead to numbness or tingling in the area in which the nerve travels.
There are three phases of Chiropractic care-Relief, Correction, and Wellness. Relief is the first phase. The goal of the relief is to reduce or eliminate pain. The number of visits necessary to accomplish this will depend on your age, underlying spinal conditions and other lifestyle choices. Restoring the body to normal or maximum function is the goal of the "correction" phase.
