Services
Vitality Dental has put its patients first for more than 50 years. Though our location and name have changed, the soul of our practice has remained the same. At our very core, we are just as committed to our patients as we were when Dr. John Lloyd (who is still a patient today) started the practice.
Dr. Michael Oakes is committed to continuing the patient-driven focus of Vitality Dental. Dr. Oakes is a servant-hearted individual who genuinely cares about the entire patient experience throughout every aspect of our practice. Dr. Oakes attended the University of Tennessee for his undergraduate education and received his DDS from the University of Tennessee in Memphis in 2003.
We want you to not only have a beautiful smile, but also a healthy, fully-functional one. Our restorative dentistry services include full mouth restorations, dental implants, bridges, crowns, fillings, and more. Are you almost satisfied with your smile? Do you just need a few enhancements to finally have the smile of your dreams?
Dental implants are a permanent and appealing solution to replace missing or extracted teeth. They are better than other alternatives like bridges because no additional teeth need to be altered to place the new tooth. The entire implant process is performed over the course of a few months. Multiple implants can be placed at once if necessary.
Over time our teeth begin to weaken and become more susceptible to problems such as decay, cracks, discoloration and other issues. If you feel your smile isn't what it once was, crowns can help you recover the structure of your teeth. If your dentist notices that a tooth is decayed or seems weakened/cracked a crown may be necessary to make sure that there are no additional problems with the tooth.

The team at Vitality Dental were great! I used the same dentist for over 10 years, but when he retired i was afraid i would not find another dental office that could ever equal the experience i had there. Vitality Dental proved me wrong and I'm really excited to have found them! The Vitality team was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure to take time to patiently explain everything to me, and they also assisted me with making proactive choices to stay on top of my dental health. I can't say enough great things about them!

My wife and I had such a great experience at Vitality! I've had some bad experiences with dental hygienist who just rush the teeth cleaning and nearly drown you in the process. Alyssa, our hygienist, did a fantastic job cleaning and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Everyone there was so welcoming and accommodating. We both are super happy that we found such a great spot!

These folks are always awesome. They do their best to get you in on time (I hate waiting in an office for long periods) and get you through your process as quickly as they can. If you have questions, they are able to walk you through what you are inquiring about, set your expectations and explain things in a manner you will understand. I have been going here for several years and have not had any issues. They play music so you can relax while being "worked on" which is always nice. The office and room areas are always clean, so no worries here. Dental work can sometimes not be a pleasant experience

I have been a patient of Dr. Oakes for over 3 years. I was originally referred here after having issues with dental work that was done in Franklin. There was a great deal of "correction" that needed to be completed. Dr. Oakes and his staff take all the time needed to explain procedures, options and cost. I have always felt that I was given the information I needed to make informed decisions and I appreciate the conservative approach to care. I have had multiple procedures, including several to fix another dentist mistakes, and I have never had a single issue. If you are looking for an

I would give 0 star if I could! STAY AWAY, I will tell you why!! I've been going to this office since 2010, a few visits a year, mostly just basic cleaning and x-ray, etc., the staff is friendly and basic care was no problem, I even referred a few friends here. I've had a tooth with sensitivity issue for several years, I'd tell the dentist every year but they couldn't figure out why, Dr. Oakes thought it was because my filling was loose so he re-did it but it didn't help at all, they didn't do anything else. Last Nov, I started having bad pain in that tooth and it

As a dentist, I was very please with Dr. Oakes, however, that is not the main thing I want to point out. Drs. Huffines & Oakes are very proud of their services and are going to charge for how proud they are. Even including insurance, they charged close to $200. I double checked with the clerk and reminded her that I had insurance and she said that was correct. I went a head and paid it, knowing I was never going back. Then I got a bill in the mail for another $20, because she had not over-charged me enough. When I went for my first preliminary visit and I was discussing insurance and

My first visit to Dr. Huffines was 6-7 years after my last trip to any dentist. Needless to say, I was in great need! He and his team developed an accomplishable and affordable treatment plan for me and took great care through each step of the way. I have been seeing Dr Ricky and his team for well over 6 years now, and will not go anywhere else. The recent addition of Dr Oakes has only served to bring the practice to the next level. I truly enjoy every visit; each time I am treated like family.

This review is on Ricky Huffines dental (I do not know who "Huffines Oakes" is but it appears that Ricky Huffines is trying to keep Yelp readers from viewing the "filtered" reviews on his practice). My experience with Ricky Huffines dental is that he is not a good dentist. He performed "unnecessary dental diddling" on me as well, and caused me terrible, lingering pain and damage to my teeth, my finances, and for a long time, my trust in people. A professional in the health care field does not fool with a patient's health for profit. Also, there is a huge lack
