Like many other people on here, the salesman who came was very insulting (Scott I think?). Much of what he said was -- this is quite a deal, we are "partners", and if I don't sign now, I'm being "too analytical" and not thinking about the long-term investment of my home. His stories and what he told me directly were all to try and get me to sign. He said everything short of directly calling me stupid for even hesitating. We used this company for our new double pane windows from Simonton. I will say that the product is great and we love our windows but I would not recommend working with HomeStar Builders. The sales guy who came out never measured the windows and promised he would be a partner with us the entire time and check in etc., it never happened - after the sale we were passed off to the main office and not once did he ever check in with us. We filled out so much initial paperwork and then had to fill out financing paperwork several times because of poor administrative skills on the company.

Very sketchy outfit. Person came to the door, said they were working in the neighborhood and offered project estimates good for 18 months. I said OK, sure, I will probably get the house painted next spring, so why not get an estimate.
Had to endure some nonsense as he called in to the office and I confirmed an appointment for the next day over the speaker phone. Another individual did arrive the next day (a little later than agreed...).
I offered a walk around the house - to especially provide an opportunity to see the back of the house that has features presenting some challenges to complete

If I could leave 0 stars on this review I would. The person who came to give us an estimate 'Scott' was extremely unprofessional and rude. From showing up late to name calling in my own home, I've never felt more disrespected. I would not recommend this service to any of my friends or neighbors and I hope management addresses this issue with said employee.

Had a run-in with this company and it's an experience I never want to go through again. Somebody knocked on my door asking if I was interested in painting my house as my neighbors were already doing. I happened to have just come from the paint store. I thought that was a good sign because what are the chances. I made an appointment for a salesperson to stop by the next day. He arrived on time and proceeded to almost force himself inside my house because he had a one hour presentation ready. He did not even look at the house or measure anything because he said he had already looked it up online

Like normal solicitors they decided to solicit at my home and came two days in a row. Persistent... OK, fine. When someone finally came and talked with my husband they were extremely pushy for him to make a decision about our roof and said he needed to make any decisions right now. The man told my husband he couldn't wait and discuss it with me, his wife. Obviously, not feeling comfortable, my husband decided to tell the gentleman we didn't want their business.
On to the next day when I get a notification on our home cameras of a man on the side of our home measuring something. Panicking

Just had a guy soliciting at my house. He rang the door bell, then banged on the door with his fist. Not a polite knocking with the knuckles, but a full on banging with the side of the fist (you know the sound). Never had anyone do that. Tried to convince me our exterior wood trim needed repairing. It doesn't. I told him to go away. I never do business with door to door solicitors, and certainly not ones that bang on my door then proceed to lie to me.

I just loved the job they did, they installed me a New lifetime roof, but also Jorge explained me and my family the benefits of the solar so we decided do both projects, I was worried at the beginning but Jorge made me feel confortable with our decision, he take care of all the project, me and my husband called him anytime always answering my questions. They did the job less than a month, the crew were very nice. I received all the benefits of the solar, including the tax credit. I saw they have many bad reviews on yelp, I don't know why because they are very professional, if I need another

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their previous business name was Pacific Home remodeling who I bought Magic Windows from in 2005 and was given a lifetime warranty. I've called on many occasions in 2018 and was told that someone would get back to me and they never did. Fast forward 1 1/2 years later we want to sell our house so would like this taken care of. Now they've changed their name and referred me to the manufacturer in Canada! They have the worst customer service ever. DON'T USE THEM! Save yourself the headache.

A guy knocked the door asking for an appointment to provide a quote. Next day a rude guy comes up without even a tape saying that he did all the measurements and want to provide a quote. The guy said he needs one hour of our time whereas previous guy said a quick quote. My wife said 1 hour is too much he rants " you people research a lot and Do nothing ". I was busy with work otherwise would have bashed him for being racist.
Avoid these people at any chance. If they are rude and racist while giving the quote, imagine how they and their work would be

I recently had 4 windows installed and loved working with the company. Feeling comfortable with the sales reps is very important to me and working with Everet and Degan was easy and made me feel comfortable enough to finally decide to push forward with the project. The company scheduling reps were great and always courteous. The installation process was fast, easy, and professional. I did sign up for financing through PACE and I've seen some bad reviews about that but I haven't experienced any issues yet. I quickly reported the work to my mortgage company and they are asking for some

They solicited me at my front door and I agreed for them to come back the next day to give a quote. The two that came to my house the following day were rude to my wife and didn't even have a tape measure to evaluate the work that needed to be done. They eventually left without leaving a quote. They seemed to hung up on the fact that my wife was the only one home. Seems they are more into high pressure sales tactics than giving legitimate quotes for work. Since then the company harasses me by phone almost daily even after telling them to never contact me again.

From the very first time I spoke to their project manager Zack to the very end of the work performed I was super happy with Zack's customer service and his attention to detail in managing our projects. They did an amazing job in applying the COOLWALL product and it looks great. Our property value went up twice what it cost us to apply it. Great investment !!! Great company. I wonder if anyone else had a guy knock on their door claiming they had replaced roof's ALL over their neighborhood and would be given a list of those people so you could go by and look at the finished product. And were told that someone would come out and talk with you and look at the roof and take measurements at 10:00 a.m. the following day. And then you have a SALESMAN show up at 9:00 a.m. (not 10:00 a.m.), rude, going through his sales pitch. He tells you how they hand pick "model" homes to showcase. Be careful using this company. It's not registered with BBB. They did not perform according to the agreement. The paint job was so sloppy and missed hitting spots with paint. Painted places like concrete slab under garage which was not agreed to. Did not replace rotten wood posts as agreed to. It was agreed they would sand where necessary and they did not. Excuse was because they found lead in old paint. They did not amend the agreement to take off sanding. They said they are certified to work with lead paint so I assumed they would still sand smooth as prep work before painting.
