The National Association of Realtors (NAR) reported that the inventory of homes for sale stands at a 4.4 month supply. This is considerably lower than the 6-month inventory necessary for a normal market. The low month supply figure signifies that now is a great time to list a home due to high homebuyer demand.
Sadly the home sat on the market for 2 years with 1 offer for $600k with little to no interest, so the sellers reach out to us. This home had incredible "bones, " but was in much needed repair before bringing it to the market. We partner with Axel Staging and with a few strategic changes, we helped render this property desirable to international buyers.
The pace of the East Bay real estate market slowed slightly but remained strong in the third quarter of 2016. Low inventory remains a constant trend with the number of homes available for sale holding steady around only a one month supply. The East Bay continues to draw buyers from around the around the Bay Area attracted by the region's booming cultural scene, appealing climate, and relative affordability, compared to some other regions in area.

My husband and I recently relocated to the Bay Area from Northeast Florida. We knew absolutely nothing about the housing market in the East Bay other than that it was very different than Florida.
