After more than 12 years developing the art of creating unique wines in small batches, Down Time Wines, Inc. opened their first storefront location in Chandler, Arizona in 2016. My sister in-law and I found down time wines because they were having a paint night. Not only are they the most friendly people to just chat with, their wine is AMAZING. After our first tasting I bought three bottles of wine, my sister in law bought 6. I went back two days later to buy three more bottles and get a custom label made for a house warming present. I can not wait to go back and do anything event or tasting.

While searching for a winery in the area close to us, my wife found Down Time Wines online. With a 5 out of 5 review, we said lets go. Now seeing it was in a strip mall did give us some caution, and when we arrived, the simplicity of the setup was not what a typical 5 of 5 star rating of wineries we have been to in the past. BUT WOW were we presently surprised and amazed. Coleen greeted us at the door and explained the tasting to us and was so nice. We selected our wines and Basil the winemaker came out and we talked as Coleen was putting together our order. What a wonderful couple. This winery

What can I say about Down Time Wines except AWESOME!
A friend and I wanted to check out a couple of places to have a wine BD party for our best friend. We were going to check out a few places and Down Time Wines was out first and last stop! We had to look no further! They were so accommodating and friendly. They made you feel like FAMILY!

From the moment we walked in we instantly felt like family. Basil the owner was right there to greet us. He was really great...being from NJ and all. The wines and meat and cheese plate were superb.
But again, is that total family feeling you get. I felt like I was spending the afternoon with my cousins.

Fantastic! The owner and his staff are passionate about wine and very welcoming. The wines were excellent too. I had the Black Forest Red and it was amazing. My family comes from the black forest part of Germany and have very fond memories of how great black forest cake tastes. This wine absolutely nails the flavor. I tried two of the Italian dry reds as well. They were both excellent. We will be back!

I hosted a wine tasting party at my house with the very best #DownTimeWines and it was a hit! I highly recommend this wine it's so tasty,smooth, and great flavor all around. Basil and his wife are the sweeties people they truly treat you like family, they are very knowledgeable about wine and can tell they have a true passion about it. 100% go and try this place out you will not be disappointed!!

Down Time Wines is the best! The service is outstanding. They treat their customers like friends. They offer a variety of events like stand up comedy and paint nights. I have done both and have had the best time. The wine is delicious. I love the Pinot Grigio. I highly suggest grabbing a few friends and experience this amazing place. You won't regret it.

We stopped in here to do a little tasting and found a couple of gems. Down Time Wines fashion all of their own wines using grapes from their suppliers. Complete all of there own bottling and marketing. This is a great place to stop in and get some wonderful hospitality, taste some uniquely fashioned wines and just simply enjoy yourself. They do have some traditionally fashioned wines like the super Tuscan, Sangiovese and Malbec. The folks that run this place are so kind and accommodating! We had a small group of women attend for a gathering and everyone loved it. I couldn't leave without taking 2 bottles home and some wine stoppers I didn't even know I needed. They even offer customizations for each bottle! I was amazed to find out that they brew everything themselves. I will definitely be back there.

I have purchased from Down Time Wines for 2 years now, they have had some great comedy shows with wine, as well as putting my private label for my business on the bottles. I purchased wine for client gifts this year! It was a hit, the Christmas wines were well received and liked. I am so happy to support a small business that so much respects the customer and treats you better than family! Another fun find in Phoenix, using Yelp! Who would have thought coffee wine would be so delicious! This place has some wonderful wine...so flavorable yet smooth! Excellent wine! Was so hard to choose after the tasting, but left with 4 bottles. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Super friendly and personable owner! Will be back if we are ever in Phoenix!

We did a Wine and Paint night and it was a blast! The best part was it wasn't the normal canvas painting, we painted wine glasses instead. Since it's March we painted shamrocks - but they had a ton of colors so you were able to paint what ever you wanted. Included in the price were 6 samples and a souvenir glass you got to keep. Gave us a chance to taste all the different flavors they offered (we had 5 people so we got a decent array). I must admit coffee wine didn't sound appealing to me but oh my God it's now my fav. This place is amazing, if you love wine and you have not tried this place you're missing out! I would give them a six star review if I could LOL. BTW you could buy by the glass, bottle, or even a case of wine. More so they will private label the bottles for you if you bring your own labels in. This place is Simply Amazing, try the sampler you'll love it

Let me start with saying this place has the best wines! We yelped the closest winery and this came up... everything is great! The owners are super friendly and very informative. We walked out with 10 bottles but may have to come back if we finish them all :)
