The DeBenedetti's sincerely thank their many loyal customers & treasured employees for making their first one hundred & five years possible. Every morning for four generations, a member of the DeBenedetti family has made sure that the bread dough rises long before the sun does. The first to get flour on their hands was Mario DeBenedetti I, who began baking hearty Italian bread in 1915 using family recipes he brought over from his homeland.

My hubby always buys me a cannoli cake for my birthday from Ferrara on Taylor St. We recently moved to Channahon and I've been hearing rave reviews about Milano bakery. I've been wanting to try them out, but hadn't had the chance. Yesterday, my hubby ordered a cannoli cake from Milanos Bakery, and although it was last minute, the cake was beautiful and delicious. The cake was light and the cream was not too sweet. I loved that, even the next day, the chocolate chips in the cannoli cream for crunchy.

Milano made my wedding cake for my wedding in September. The cake tasted delicious and the design was exactly what I asked for, except for one thing… They forgot to put my cake topper on the cake. When we tried to call them not five minutes after they delivered the cake to the venue, no one answered the phones. We left a voice message and I expected them to return my call on Monday and apologize but we never heard from them. We hired Milano to do our wedding cake. The cake is amazing, we did not need to try cake anywhere else. All of our friends and family loved it and kept asking where it was from. Their pricing is also fantastic. We had a small 3 tiered cake and a large sheet cake. We were able to have 4 different flavors. I would give them 5 stars if not for the lack of communication and design error. I had to email them 3x and call 2x before I was able to review with them my order prior to the wedding. It's a fine store. Havn't been in there to many time's. What they have? I probley a buy.The chocolate cream donut tasted good. With the milk i ordered. Played for, the glaze donuts was swell. With the cup of coffee. I thought the coffee lid a be light, There was a fitting one. Great deal in money, the place had.

I ordered the Atomic cake with whipped frosting and it was absolutely delicious! I have also had the atomic cake from Milanos with buttercream frosting which was good too. If you can get whipped frosting depending on if your cake can be refrigerated, do it! Also, if you have not tried atomic cake you are missing out! It is 3 layers of Chocolate, vanilla and banana cake. In between one layer is strawberries and in between the other layer is a banana cream type filling.

I have not been here in decades and it has not changed much the pastries and donuts as well as the breads bring back memories. I was in the area and had to stop and take a look-see. I parked on the side of the building and walked in and it was like I stepped back in time... all of my favorites seem to still be there so I ordered a chocolate cake donut and a water ...trying to eat healthy. The donut tasted great it melted in my mouth just as I remembered. I will be back.

I’ve never been disappointed by anything from Milano Bakery. They make delicious treats that look beautiful and well-decorated every time. My favorite items from them are their atomic cakes (chocolate, banana, and strawberry) and their fresh strawberry paczki around Fat Tuesday. A true hidden gem of Joliet!

Awesome, quaint, steeped in delicious tradition. I love when my grandchildren ask if we can go to the old bakery Grandpa went to when he was little.
Everytime I visit my siblings who left the area I hear can you bring some Milano buns and bread please! The potica is so memorable my mouth is watering now. Paczki create a line get there early.. Wedding cakes, birthdays, showers, anniversary, any cake always amazing! 4 generations of happy customers!
Thanks for continuing to make quality deliciousness. My only complaint is sometimes they run out of my favorites too fast.

I was there this morning, had to wait til the lady was off the phone. I understand it washer fault but it was 7am and they were busy. I got a dozen of donuts and she said you have two more to pick so I picked two more and than she says oh I'm sorry you only have one more after she put them in the box. I just paid for the extra donut, and they were very dry and not edible.

Had really high hopes when I decided to stop in a few weeks ago and finally try it. When I first walked in, I was immediately put off. There was a black lab hanging out in the front and one of the workers was around the counter petting him. I am a dog LOVER and my job is dog walking/sitting, but I dont believe they should be allowed near food that is being served to customers. I ended up getting some of the sprinkle cookies (amongst other things) and for some reason there were small inedible hard pieces throughout each cookie. Not sure I would give it a second chance.

Shop has small waiting area for customers. Coffee cakes are fabulous. Cheese danish a must try. Nice selection of italian cookies and pastries. A pecan danish was very enjoyable the other day. Prices are very high but all the bakery items are very good quality. They will also do specialty order cakes and such. Coffee is decent too.

Always a pleasure to stop in here when I'm in Joliet for work. Small little bakery with the freshest bread and baked goods. I make it a point to stop here and grab a fresh loaf of bread every time I'm in town, and will continue to do so until someone points me to a better bakery within a ten mile radius (hint: doesn't exist).

This is a 5-star bakery but because they are known for delicious bakery foods prior customers may bought out my all-time favorite - 'bear claws, and/or eaten up the delicious freebies. That's why I give it only 4-stars. Selfishly, I may have a better chance of having one or more 'bear claws' when I get there. As history records: "The early customer gets the 'bear claws'" See you there, (behind me) - or save a 'bear claw' if you get there first.

I recently ordered a cake from Milano Bakery and they did an amazing job! It was super easy to order a custom cake. I even had a particular type of sprinkle in mind that I wanted on the cake and one of the ladies actually ran back to grab the sprinkles to make sure she knew exactly which ones I was talking about. They truly are cake artists; the cake was gorgeous!!! I wanted a "classy over the hill" cake and that is what they created for me. I ordered white cake with buttercream frosting and custard filling and it was extremely delicious! I highly recommend ordering cakes from Milano

I worked here for many years, and even after smelling the donuts and eating their products for many years, I still love Milano! It's way better than dunkin when it comes to donuts. Sweet and fresh with a great variety. Cakes are always made to order and are never dry. I recommend trying the atomic cake, with multiple layers and fillings! I visit from Germany and always make a point to stop by and get some goodies, and even have my husband hooked. Cheese Danish is a MUST HAVE!

Milano Bakery exceeded my expectations. I ordered an Easter cake for my family, and picked up some pastries while I was there. Their pound cake was amazing! Cannoli are addictive.
Everyone in the shop are beyond nice. This was my first experience, and have already been back. They've made a life long customer out of me.
