Garlic Mike's

The service, presentation, and taste have never wavered. I've been a patron since they opened and Garlic Mike's has always exceeded my expectations. Their staff are professional in the front of the house and in the kitchen. It's a great place for a date, dinner with friends, and parties large or small.

My Prime Rib was delicious 😋 and the wait staff was very nice and attentive. I will definitely go back!!

The chefs are creating dishes you will savor and you can taste their passion for deliciousness in every bite. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, which somehow makes the food taste even better.

If you are like me, you'll want to try everything on the menu, so don't hesitate to ask for recommendations if you feel adventurous. I enjoyed the black pepper crusted elk tenderloin special and I will definitely be back for more.

I had the eggplant. It was marginal. Tasted and looked like something you would get in the frozen section at the supermarket. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Okay place to eat but I wasn't impressed with the long wait time between drinks, appetizers and the main course. It took us 3 hours to eat dinner. We made reservations the day before we went and then told us it was $25 to get a outside table. I got the daily special sea food plate and it was just okay and I think it was the most expensive thing on the menu. My wife had the fillet mignon and it was wonderful. All in all personally I think the quality of food was mediocre and not worth the money spent.

The wife and I were talking about how many times we've driven by Garlic Mike's on our way up to Crested, but never made it happen. This time, we made it a point to give it a shot while in the Gunnison area. I'd have to say the experience was pretty good. We requested to be seated outside since it was a beautiful evening, and we were seated in a wonderful tent with chandeliers and a few tables, adorable!Everyone in our party seemed to enjoy what they ordered, nothing extraordinary or mind blowing, but enjoyable and satisfying. Who doesn't love Garlic Mike's? It is always good food with a wonderful ambience. The river runs right by. But watch out for the mosquitoes. The service is good. The wait staff is attentive with out actually hovering over you. It is necessary to have a reservation if you want to get seated. It is nice to have a place that actually takes reservations. I do not know of anyone unhappy after a meal at Garlic Mike's. So make a reservation and go and enjoy.

Good food, but not amazing. If we return to Crested Butte, we wouldn’t go out of our way to drive there for dinner again.
TL:DR Wouldn’t return unless no other options and they were sneaky about some charges.
Server was great! Attentive and personable. However, when we ordered our entrees he went around the table asking “soup or salad???” without alerting us that there was an up charge. One of us even said “oh, i didn’t know it came with a soup or salad” and server still didn’t alert us. I found that very sneaky/dishonest. No, it wasn’t a lot of money, but it’s the principal

First time I met "Garlic Mike" as person at "Culture Discover" in Sicily,Italy.
Since I never had a doubt about his personality. He is not just Chef or owner of the Italian Cuisine, he also offers private dinners for those special friends and family celebrations. Chef "Garlic Mike" promises you an event that you will experience, as if you are a "guest at your own party". He knows how to sure the right food with highest quality and freshness, arrange the environment in a way that "special event", and it is all done with ease and efficiency. This is a chance to have a party people will remember

Fantastic experience! We brought a large group and the service was great. I had a chicken - mushroom - herb dish and it was delicious, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the classic sauce was well executed. Good menu. Great job by the kitchen and top notch service.

It seems that Garlic Mike's is full of diners every evening that they are open, but I'm not really sure why. The food is just barely "OK" nothing at all special, and definitely over priced for the quality. We have dined her a few times over the years, and decided recently to give it one more chance. Never again. We're done with going there. There are so many better restaurants in nearby Crested Butte, we will never go here again. The mystery to me is why are they always busy? I guess their business is based on tourists that just don't know any better.

Make sure you have a reservation! We were fortunate that they were able to squeeze us in on a Saturday night! The hostess/manager was great! She sat us in a cute tent outside and waived the tent fee. Everything was delicious from the filet mignon to the tortellini to the seafood pasta. We got the recommended peach pie for dessert, but would've been nice to have it ala mode. It was just ok. It was my birthday and we were told we would get a free cannoli but did not. We also asked for a bottle of red wine to go, which we also did not get, but at least we were not charged for it.

This was our best restaurant experience since before COVID. Excellent food, great service, fantastic setting. Every person working here was absolutely busting it, especially in the light of being short-staffed, as so many restaurants are post-COVID. They have done a great job utilizing their space, with lovely indoor seating, a patio, and private cabanas out near the Gunnison River. One of the highlights of our 4 days in Gunnison. Special kudos to our server Anna and manager Jesus. Bravo!

Food was excellent and service staff very good but food took over 2 hours to get! Patio is beautiful. They had a singer that played the guitar but she was absolutely terrible. Painful to listen to. Everyone in our 12 person group agreed...worst music ever heard. Would have been so much nicer without any music. She ruined the gorgeous setting! We're going back this Saturday with a large group so hopefully she won't be singing.

Wouldn't even let Trump eat here. Server was nice and funny but food was not good, despite the rolls and butter (which you had to ask for). Shirley temples tasted weird, almost moldy. Food took 2 fkn hours, for 6 pieces of penne drowned in watery marina soup. They had a singer for the whole duration we were there, wouldn't say it was a great choice and the music and voice was unfitting for/clashed with a formal dinner. Don't recommend.

Appetizer mussels were good. Shrimp Laurino was so so. Took chefs recommendation to have shrimp with smashed red potatoes wasn't the best. Pasta would have been better.

Att:: Will the owners of the restaurant take some interest as to how the house is run. You have very decent food in a beautiful setting. Our server was terrific. Ate in the bar and the inappropriate boisterous conversation from staff fueled by the squeaky voiced hostess was a total buzz kill to what began as a lovely dining experience.

Great meal, very fresh and well prepared. Friendly staff doing their best to keep up with a full restaurant. We got there at 5 (when they open) and were lucky to get in without a reservation. Highly recommended for a nice meal.

Very sub par experience. Caesar salads and drinks took 40 min plus after being reminded three times or more for them. Entrees were equivalent to TV dinners, and instead of addressing the issues, they were swept under the rug, and hidden like they didn't exist. Maybe it'll be a better experience for others, but can't give much respect to a place that doesn't acknowledge/compensate for the obvious issues at hand.

AMAZING!!!! We got our wedding catered from Garlic Mike's and they were fantastic! Throughout the whole process they were so helpful and informative. Not to mention, their food is delicious!!! They have many options for party trays. For our wedding we ordered the party trays of Caesar salad, seasonal vegetables, baked ziti, lasagna and cannolis! The restaurant is so cute and cozy for a date night or accommodating for a big family dinner. On their regular menu they have a build your own pasta dish, you pick the pasta shape, sauce (they have 6 different kinds!) and meats or other toppings. Garlic

We went there to celebrate a birthday, which is the only way we would probably pay as much as we did for the food...and especially the glasses of wine. The wine we chose (a house white and a house red) were $15 a glass. You get a good amount, but still quite pricey, in my opinion.

I got the Chicken Piccata with mashed red potatoes and vegetable medley (grilled green beans, carrots and yellow squash). Not too bad. I've had better, honestly.

Absolutely loved our experience here. The food is absolutely world-class. Best prime rib we've ever eaten. Recommend reservations (not required) which can be made the day before. Arrive early and enjoy the beautiful bar area riverside.

They've done a wonderful job accommodating social distancing by extending the dining areas to charming outdoor heated tents.

Wait was long but worth it. Service was good but a little behind due to so many people. Food was great! Garlic fries and fry sauce amazing! Little spendy so be prepared. Atmosphere is amazing! Won't be disappointed there. They've put in a lot of great features to help with covid.
