Services
One of psychiatry's main specialties is to perform a complete evaluation to determine which medication is appropriate for each client. Also, it is not uncommon that some clients are taking psychiatric medications and feel that their medications are not as beneficial as they used to be and may request an evaluatiuon to consider alternatives.
My goal is to ensure that you feel respected and understood. Compassion will help develop our relationship that naturally leads to trust. The trust we build leads to fulfilling your goals. I would also like to invite you, at any time during our visits, to offer feedback to me about how I may be more helpful to you.
Does Dr. Taylor prescribe medication? Yes, as a board certified psychiatrist, Dr. Taylor prescribes and manages medication based on her evaluation. What does D.O. mean? What is an osteopath? A doctor of osteopathic medicine (D.O.) is a physician licensed to practice medicine, prescribe medication, and perform surgery.
I have made significant advancements in my career due to Dr. Taylor's diagnosis of my Attention-Deficit Disorder. Her treatment has helped my focus and productivity at work. Soon I will be getting a promotion. I suddenly began to have panic attacks, but because of Dr. Taylor's years of experience, in the first session she determined the perfect medication dose that eliminated my panic attacks.

Terrible waste of time and money, Dr. Taylor will waste your time going off different tangents completely unrelated to your mental health for hours (if you let her) before charging you for all this wasted time. What could've been a quick 30 minute meeting turned into 2 hours due to her unnecessary ranting. There are legitimate reasons for her low reviews, absolutely avoid her if you care at all for your mental health.

I spent over 45 minutes on the phone with her simply trying to make an appointment for a mental health evaluation. Initially she struck me as very disorganized and strange.
But then at the 45 minute mark, after we had finally begun to schedule an appointment time, she found out some information about my case that she “didn’t feel capable of handling”(I’m currently on medical leave from work) and told me she couldn’t see me. When I told her that someone else was handling the paperwork for the medical leave she flatly told me to “Save it, sir. I’m not going to see you until after you’re

Dr. Taylor gives her full attention and care to each patient. She helped me through a trying time and helped me discover the right medication. She can counsel you, provide therapy and prescribe the right meds. —There are reviews on here that are simply unfair. She is a caring and careful doctor who always returns calls. She has helped many people, including me.

To all of you Neath Sayers, Dr. Linda Taylor is a very intelligent person and much smarter than you are giving her credit for.
If you are looking for a psychiatrist to blindly prescribe medication that your other doctors refuse to prescribe, Dr. Taylor is not a good choice. She is not going to subscribe a specific mediation to you just because you ask for it. She can tell when you are trying to scam her. She follows strict medical guidelines in her issuing of subscriptions.
And yes, sometimes you have to wait but once she see’s you she stops the clock and dedicates her attention to you. There

Two thumbs down!!
Left two messages as a new patient to who has chronic ocd/depression tp Dr Taylor with no return call.
Very unprofessional. It's hard enough to reach out with a mental illness and it's very disappointing to not receive a phone call in return, even if my situation is too demanding for the psychiatrists skills.

Complete loon who appears to be on drugs. She also appears to be in complete failing mental health herself and has no business seeing patients. After three (3) hours watching her intermittently taking care of her personal business... she spent part of the time babbling, himming and hawing, and making no comprehensible sense. I was embarrassed and uncomfortable and couldn't figure out how to get out of there since I really hoped for some help. I tried to take a break and she sent me to the gas station to use a bathroom so she could write a prescription. When I got back she still hadn't

Listen to the reviews. She should not be practicing medicine. She had me waiting an hour and a half after my appointment, even though I told her I had a babysitter waiting on me. She has a bathroom she doesn’t let patients use so they have to drive to the nearest store if you have to use the restroom which will inevitably happen after being kept for 3-5 hours. She did everything incredibly slow, never stayed on topic, did not ask me anything about myself, talked about random nonsense or other patients she’s had in the past. I waited 20 mins while she looked up ibuprofen using a magnifying glass

This person has no right being a health care provider. If I could give zero stars I would. Let me start by saying this is concerning my daughter who recently lost her baby. She desperately needed someone to talk to. She left 3 messages over a 2 week time before this woman felt she needed to return my daughter's call. My daughter chose her from her health plan and liked what she focused on. After finally getting an 8 PM appointment, she found out not only was she still in counsel with someone, but there was another person waiting to get in ahead of my daughter's appointment! Seeing

The most bizarre and unprofessional experience I've had with a healthcare provider, and I didn't even attend an appointment! Dr. Taylor will not answer her phone in a professional/identifying manner due to the "concerns what telemarketers would do with the information", and then went on a long rambling monologue unrelated to my appt/what I was needing. My main question was relating to my insurance and her fees, which she refused to answer and told me it was her policy to have patients verify their own insurance (this is NOT NORMAL) I made an appt over a week in advance, and

Just very awful, rude, lazy, habitually late and extremely unprofessional human being. She is ALWAYS fxked up on her own prescriptions or Idk what tf she is taking but she is just bad news. I am begging you if you truly want progress, or to feel better in general, DO NOT waste your time, money or effort with this mistake of a human. She will judge you and probably misunderstand/misdiagnose you. She will severely disappoint you.
She doesnt care to help you, she only wants your money. She is a scam artist or a drug dealer more than anything else. She charges so much for prescriptions and will probably

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. I am honestly surprised she still has license. So unprofessional and no awareness for other peoples time. Be prepared to wait at least 45 min. outside because she locks the door to the waiting room. She saw me for less than 10 min. and 8 of those min. she spent on the phone in front of me as a provider with my insurance and NEVER billed my insurance company for the visit instead she charged me $280 upfront and than instead of performing a initial consultation assessment she gave me verbal instructions to get a thyroid test and EKG with no instructions on how to follow

I was in the process of changing providers, and when I saw the write-up on Dr. Taylor I felt like it would be a welcome change. I didn't even get into an appointment.
She called me back after 3 days or so after I left a voicemail (which was the only way to make an appointment as there doesn't seem to be any office staff). I still save the voicemail to let people hear it when they don't believe me. It went on and on until my machine finally cut off, but in that time was essentially a conversation she was having with herself after having called me. I rarely if ever write reviews

SHE SHOULD NOT BE PRACTICING!!! The day before my 1st appointment I came across these terrible reviews but needed my existing prescriptions filled so I kept the appointment & went prepared to keep the meeting on track based on what I read & the bizarre call making the appointment. She was only 30 minutes late at least. It was the most insane experience of my life. I legitimately walked out after 2 hours & then she ran my card twice. I've reported her to my bank & the insurance company. I want to know if any of the people that have had terrible experiences are willing to provide a statement. This

I wish I could leave a negative star review. This woman is friendly enough in person, but she has no business being involved in the mental health field. She is unreliable, uninformed, inconsiderate, and unprofessional in every way. She was consistently late to my appointments, released sensitive medical information to my partner over the phone, called me often as late as 10pm, attempted to prescribe medications to me that I was uncomfortable with, and the medications she DID prescribe did not work and caused me harm, she stopped returning my phone calls for MONTHS, causing me to quit my medications

Please, please consider another option if you are seeking help. Based on all of the negative reviews, I really wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, she seemed like a nice woman at first.. I really regret doing so. I realized after a few sessions, Dr Taylor really does not have any genuine concern for her patients as the reviews warned. I understand it's important to take your time with each client, however, she will keep you waiting for over an hour or two, for me, until 10pm (yes, at night) without an update, and she will intentionally ignore you. She will disregard your feelings when

I luckily DID NOT attend a session with Dr. Taylor. I am writing this review based entirely off the passive-aggressive and unwelcoming voicemail that you reach when dialing her office number (512) 343-8505.
I was completely flabbergasted at the dismissive and passive aggressive tone and contents of her voicemail "filtering" system. I thought maybe I was simply unfamiliar with the psychiatry process of registering new patients, but after reading these reviews it seems my gut instinct was right about this person.
Glad that all my calls/voicemails went unanswered.

Echoing the popular sentiment here: Dr. Taylor has a dangerous inability to return phone calls in a prompt fashion. This occurs even as her patients are running out of medications (which happens a LOT due to her 30-days-out-only policy). I strongly believe no psychiatrist should ever be the *source* of psychiatric distress for a patient, nor do deliberate harm to them, and yet through her inaction, Dr. Taylor has done both.
After our initial consultation (which she was 35 minutes late to), she prescribed me a single 30-day supply of medication with no refills. This is apparently commonplace for

Dr. Taylor is a great psychiatrist. I've been one of her patients for a very long time. She truly cares about her patients and, even though she sometimes runs late for appointments, everyone gets their full hour. It is important to remember that a psychiatrist is not necessarily a therapist. A psychiatrist is there to assess your situation and adjust/monitor meds accordingly. Her style is very conversational and it doesn't necessarily seem like she's performing her analysis of you, but she is. Dr. Taylor is very professional and will not hesitate to refer you to a Therapist or some

This woman only wants your money. After paying her over $600 in the course of a month, she wanted $300 to call my insurance and $75 to call in a rx when I had literally seen her earlier in the day and I just needed to see which drug I could get covered. I offered to come pick up a written rx and she said that would also cost $75.
I've been a mental health patient for 11 years and I have never encountered a scam artist like this woman. She takes advantage of the long waiting lists to see legitimate doctors and bleeds you dry. I was new to Austin when I sought her out because I needed refills

At first I thought she would be a great psychiatrist, a little weird but good. Her hours are flexible and she is near my work, but after three visits, I am appalled by how she's treated me.
She made me come in twice in a week in order to get a refill on a Rx I've been taking without issue for 3.5 years. She misremembered many things said in previous sessions and misinterpreted important details as well.
She was very unprofessional in calling after 9pm. I am a teacher and go to bed relatively early. When I did finally give in and go in for a second appt in one week just to get a refill
