We are dedicated to helping you achieve your self-defense and fitness goals by offering a safe and friendly training environment without ego. Hudson Valley HaganaH is the IHF Northeast Headquarters of the United States. We offering the full line of Israeli HaganaH Defense Systems, providing no nonsense reality based self-defense training with real world applications.
The word HaganaH, meaning "DEFENSE" in Hebrew, is the true Evolution of Israeli Martial Arts to include; Kapap, Krav Maga, Lotar and Hisardut. This Military based Matial Art comes straight from the battlefields of Israel and was founded by Israeli Special Forces Commando Master Mike Lee Kanarek. The HaganaH basic training principles are simple.
Since HVH has opened, we have seen all walks of life come through the door. Each person has his or her own story that adds to the life and personality of Hudson Valley HaganaH. The school has seen teachers, nurses, lawyers, Law Enforcement, Military personnel and every level of ability from athlete to beginner.
Students are drilled to create a mindset that reacts to a violent assault by immediately switching from a victim to an aggressor. Every touch is designed to create damage. Every tactic has both a defensive and offensive element. Techniques are overlapped to "short-circuit" and overwhelm the attacker.
As you look for comparable schools in the Pike County area, keep in mind that not all schools act transparently. We are committed to doing business differently, to bringing back integrity and honesty in the Martial Arts industry. Other schools may advertise lower prices but then trick you with hidden charges.

I've been to a dozen martial arts schools in my days, but by far this has been my best experience yet, it truly has been a blessing to see my children so happy, and getting healthy, losing body fat rapidly right before my eyes, the excitement the family gets everyday for class is a feeling that is unmatched.
The instructors are super professional, structured and fun, they make each class memorable and they truly go out of their way for each student of all ages catering to the proper attention needs of each individual,

Having gone to HVH for over a year now, I highly recommend this martial arts school to anyone interested in combat sports or self defense.
With good instructors pushing you your limit (but never past it) and a friendly environment in which to train it is the perfect place to learn, get into shape, and grow into the best version of you as is possible.
P.S. Not to mention the free trial first class, you just can't go wrong with this place!

Wish I could give this more than 5 stars. 9 months ago I walked in knowing nobody and within a class I get like part of a family. The instructors and coaches are top notch and show patience while teaching techniques. Every instructor has a genuine interest in seeing the students learn and succeed. I will be also enrolling both my children after observing the kids classes. Again all the instructors show total patience and have a investment in watching the children learn and grow.

I have been training here for just over a year. Facilities are top notch. Instructors are knowledgeable and committed to the success of their students. To top it off the atmosphere is wonderful, family-like in all of the best ways. HVH is a fantastic place to train for men, women, and children alike. There are a variety of classes offered depending on your goals whether it is increased fitness or training in self-defense (all the while reinforcing good virtues, like respect). This place is by far the best place to train. Instructors love working here and it shows. They are professional, knowledgeable patient and welcoming and want to see you succeed. I take all the adult classes they offer and I travel about 50 miles to get there. Its worth it and a its a great way to get in shape. I wouldn't train anywhere else. I don't write a lot of online reviews but I highly recommend HVH.

What an incredible experience! The Instructors are amazing, very friendly, knowledgeable and most of all, they really take the time to help everyone understand. The facility is by far the best around! A very well run facility with a so many options to choose from. You will NEVER find yourself running out of things to get excited about here. I highly recommend Hudson Valley HaganaH to anyone looking to learn Martial Arts in a fun, safe and exceptionally clean environment.
