Services
Arrowhead Veterinary Clinic is proud to serve Spanish Fork and surrounding areas for everything medically related to horses and livestock. Our veterinarian is Mike Walburger, he is proud to be apart of the horse and livestock community, and has been providing quality care in and around Utah County for over 20 years.
We are available to take appointments from 9 am to 5 pm Mon - Fri and 9 am to 12 pm Saturdays. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. We have vehicles equipped to treat some procedures as Farm Calls (house calls). Please realize that some procedures are complex and cannot receive optimal care in the field.
Horses with high exposure potential (such as race horses, show horses, rodeo horses, etc.) should receive Influenza and Rhino pneumonitis immunizations every three months, or two weeks prior to major exposure. Deworming medication should be administered every three to four months. An Ivermectin product (Eqvalan, Zimectrin, etc.) should be included in your worming program because of its ability to kill migrating parasites and bots.
We have a facility that allows us to board periovulatory mares. We are able to provide ultrasound tracking of the mares follicular development, timed artificial insemination with shipped cooled semen and frozen semen, ultrasound pregnancy diagnosis, embryo transfer, stallion collection, shipped semen and breeding soundness exams for both mares and stallions.
A chance to cut is a chance to cure. We are able to perform hernias, cryptorchid, and angular limb deformities. Surgeries not performed at Arrowhead are referred to or a specialist is brought in. We also perform bovine and small ruminant surgical procedures like C-section and abomasal displacements.

I have a cute little lamb that was ill. I could not find anyone to help me save my Shirly Sheep. Dr. Mike was amazing. Not only did he treat my baby, but was kind and understanding. He was swamped by numerous emergencies yet still gave Shirly Sheep the love and attention she needed. We will go back and encourage others to try them out too.
