A question that surfaces in local Trivia Contests throughout the area that seems to stump everyone is: "What does Fair Haven have in common with Kosovo, California, Australia, France, Malta, New Zealand, Cyprus, and South Africa"? He's been a winemaker in every one of those countries at one time or another for over 3 decades.
Earlier this year, Colloca Estate Winery was named the 2019 New York Riesling Winery of the Year. in the New York International Wine Competition in New York City. And, at the 2019 New York Wine Classic in Watkins Glen in early August, our 2017 Dolce Riesling received Gold and was named Best Late Harvest.
When asked what I wanted for my Birthday, I told my wife, "Dinner at Bern's." Bern's for those not familiar with is has one of the largest wine lists in the world with 90,000 bottles in their cellar and another half a million plus in backup storage. Further, their commitment to excellence is unrivaled anywhere.
The Colloca Wine Club - continues to be the best kept secret in the wine business. Maybe it's because people enjoy visiting us so much, or perhaps it's the current uncertainty about what's ahead just around the corner, we haven't seen the growth in Wine Club members that we did when we started the club a couple of years ago.

A small group of us visited the winery today for wine tastings. We were not part of the Holiday wine event going on so we were surprised when we had our wine tasting poured into plastic shot glasses. I would not have any problem with this if we went to tequila tasting however I would never pour the quality of wine this vineyard produces into plastic. Our group did buy the boxed red plus a couple additional bottles. We possibly would have bought more wine if the taste was enhanced in the proper serving glass. My recommendation is to switch back to the flights and glass so one can appreciate the

Love the atmosphere. Feels like a great big family get together! Such pretty grounds with a great view! Live music with many comfortable seats to enjoy it from! I have tasted most of their wines and have yet to be disappointed. This is a place that you just feel like you want to stay awhile. Nice day trip.

I stopped in here on a Saturday with a small group of people to enjoy the views and the good wine. We made a reservation for a table, which was a good idea considering how busy they were! We were seated quickly and brought menus of their food and wine/cider options. They had a big assortment and offered flights of wine as well as cider or beer which was great. Our waitress was funny and checked on us frequently and also knowledgeable about the food they served. We got a pear pizza and some calamari for the table, you are also still currently required to order food.
