We are conveniently located right off I-4 and route 436 in Altamonte Springs.
Our Preschool facility services both the Orlando area and those who live or work near the towns of Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Longwood, Maitland and Casselberry in Seminole County. It is also easy to pull of the I-4 if you came to work to downtown. Our one acre facility is well equipped with 7 classrooms plus two large playgrounds; one playground for the 1's and 2's and another for the 3's and above.

We are owner operated and licensed by the Department of Children and Families license #C18SE0194. Our operations are also audited and reviewed regularly by the Community Coordinated Care for Children Inc. known as 4C, The Early Learning Coalition of Seminole County and The Child Care Food Program.

At Light Years, we believe that children learn through being, doing, feeling and thinking. We provide healthy physical care in a friendly, challenging and learning environment through the leadership of trained, competent, responsible adults. All areas of development are considered vital; physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual.
Light Years is proud to offer a top quality EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE to our children. Since the change in ownership, in early 2008, the new owners have emphasized in upgrading the facilities and materials plus adding certified, committed to education, staff which has produced Kudos from all our regulators.
We have certified vehicles in excellent conditions to take our kids to and from school. Our after/before school program includes also the breakfast and the P.M. snack plus the supervision of Homework. We also have enrichment activities like Spanish class, arts and crafts, soccer, basketball and games for our after schoolers.

Outstanding quality service! They took care or our son like he is part of their ohana (family). Being new to the area and our very first time sending our child to a day care, it took a lot of TRUST and they met our expectation for that since day one.

I know the owners and most of the staff of LYA in Altamonte Springs. This is a Mom-and-Pops establishment and not a Corporate Daycare. They will provide you with the proper care for your children, and you would be able to talk to the owners daily. This is why they run a flawless and straightforward operation with an outstanding staff. I highly recommend LYA to any parent looking for the right daycare for their kids.

I have been sending my daughter to Light Years Ahead for 7 years. I have 2 other kids that went to other great daycares but Light Years Ahead is by far the best daycare I have ever sent my kids to. The entire staff is professional and kind. More importantly my daughter loves the place. Safety, security, and sanitation is exceptional. Great balance of fun and education! Highly recommend if you are looking for a child care facility.

This is the best out of all 3 daycares my son has attended, since he was a toddler 💙 They are like an extended family, very caring, knowledgeable and professional too. The place is in a great location just off I-4, so clean, with a huge yard/play area and nutritious meals. I've seen my son show much academic and social progress from working with his teachers. He loves the extra curricula activities also. I'm beyond grateful he spent his last 2 years before kindergarten with Mr. Rodney and staff!!!

There are many positive things I can say about this daycare.
From the first moment I visited LYA I loved the atmosphere it was homey and clean.
I also noticed at drop off/pick ups Ms. Maria would greet the children by name and was sometimes in the classrooms with the teachers caring for the kids. For me that meant she is very involved and knew what was going on and that was one of the main reasons I enrolled my son here.
My son has been attending this daycare since he was 1 years old so in the beginning he would cry but 5 mins after I left he was perfectly fine. I would even call the director

Light Years Ahead is an excellent Early Learning Center that also provides wonderful programs for Elementary age students. As a teacher, they equipped me with all the necessary tools to support and engage the students in a safe, loving environment. It's warm and welcoming atmosphere makes you feel like you are a part of a close-knit family. While I was employed at Light Years, I was provided with the opportunity to grow and flexibility to expand my knowledge in the education field. Although I am not currently there, they are still family that I will continue to appreciate and be indebted to!

Before the pandemic, Light Years Ahead has always impressed me with their cleanliness. Even more so now during the pandemic. They are a family business and have always been reasonable, accommodating, and trustworthy. Since my twins have entered into the 3 year old room I have been so impressed with what they come home having learned. Your search for a wonderful daycare should end right here.

My son has attended this daycare since he was 4 or 5 months old and now he will be 4 this year. My experience has been exceptional. I love the attention my son receives from the staff. They are genuinely caring about his development and learning. His teachers are awesome. They know my son very well and are in tuned with his areas of opportunities. The facility is clean, the owners are very personable.
My family have 2 children attending the facility and plan on keeping them there until kindergarten.
I wish I could rate 10 stars. Best daycare ever.
