This place has alot to be desired. I ordered food and it's been 40 minutes. When I ask about the time they haven't started cooking it yet and the cook was in the back wondering around and they were looking for him. So to help him out the hostess started to peel my shrimp without washing her hands and when I stopped her she got upset and said I'm trying to help you out... needless to say I will not be back... I should have taken the hint when they didn't answer my call I just walked over... This truly sad... I hope they get it together...

I ordered through a delivery service and it arrived very well. Presentation was beautiful and taste was great. Loved their crabmeat & cream cheese wonton was fabulous. Need to go in and get those in person next time. Very satisfied with my sushi order too. Pictures don't do it justice but for a home delivery, this was amazing.

Honestly not the best sushi out there but good cheap sushi in DTA and that's all I can really ask for.
I get their gyozas a lot just because I love gyozas but it's not anything special. It's fried and the inside doesn't really taste all that great. It's just a mixture and you can't taste anything significant out of it. Not the worst gyozas I've ever tried though.

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to warn people about this place. Came here a while back with some friends for a late night dinner. Place was filled with rowdy drunk people. Took nearly an hour to receive our food, even though I politely asked our server multiple times about our food, and other drunk, rowdy people were being served before us.

So I just ordered from Sakura cafe. Mind you I have eaten at this establishment many times a couple of years ago. Today’s order was not only cold but soggy. The delivery is only a mile away. Not only that but it was actually not tasty at all. I mean bland. I eat raw sushi all The time and that has more flavor than these rolls. I ordered the spider roll (bland, soggy, mess) and the number 19 tempura shrimp roll with mango slices and mango sauce. Sounds delicious right? Not a chance. We also ordered a burger which was so much better than the sushi. That’s saying a lot from a Japanese Restaurant

I was craving sushi on a Saturday and came here because they are the only place downtown that has a sushi lunch special on Saturday (I called ahead to confirm). I ordered the eel and the spicy yellowtail rolls. The salad and soup came out first. Miso soup was pretty average and the salad was yummy and drenched in a gingery peanuty dressing. A few minutes later, my rolls arrived. The spicy yellowtail was different than other places nearby. Instead of everything being chopped up into a homogenous mixture, there was a chunk of fish surrounded by spicy sauce and panko. Definitely a different texture

ROACHES!!!!!!! I have been eating at Sakura for late night snacks for the last five years and today while waiting for food A ROACH ran across the counter!! I politely told staff there is a roach on the counter and nicely asked for a refund and they ignored me and did not provide me a refund. Absolutely nasty. I spent $18 to see a roach on my table with no satisfaction of eating what I paid for. Will not be back ever again.

HorriblE!!! I found myself here, reluctantly at 1pm. Joss was closed, regrettably; it was boat week- which we were attending; raining & the car was parked by the state office bldg, on a Sunday. We couldn't wait 2 hrs for Joss, to open, getting drenched, so we needed an option-(Buddy's buffet, was over; didn't want to wait in the rain for Chick and Ruth's) - because folks had a taste for Sushi, Downtown. (If I were alone, I would've dashed to Yama Sushi, without so much as a second thought.)

Went to Sakura Cafe with my wife tonight. She ordered the dumpling appetizer and asked them to bring that out as her main dish. I ordered spring rolls for my appetizer and an assorted Sushi platter for my dinner which was supposed to come with miso soup and salad. The first thing to come out was my wife's dumplings which once again she requested as her main entree. My spring rolls came out and after biting into them the middle of the spring roll was frozen solid. Then came my Sushi platter without the soup or the salad that was supposed to proceed it.

Not, great not even good. More like OK. We eat a lot of Thai, sushi, etc. in and around Annapolis and this was near the bottom of the pack. My 16 yo daughter referred to it as Crackle barrel of Asia food. Not sure that's fair to CB. Its definitely over fried, poor-ish quality served in heaping portions to make up for it. They routinely post a seemingly good deal on Groupon, we fell for it.

If I could give no stars, then I would.
I went to this restaurant and was refused service.
I attempted to place an order and was told that they were closed. Almost immediately after I was told this, a white man came over and placed an order for Chicken Fried Rice and his money was taken, and his order was placed.
I asked the lady why I was refused service and she said that it was because I wanted something different from the man. I informed her that she couldn't know that because I never told her what it was that I wanted.
After our brief conversation, another white male came over

Decent sushi available here. I would recommend Nano's over Sakura for DTA (Downtown Annapolis) sushi. All that being said, my order was great. I will note for my fellow orange crush enthusiasts, that theirs was off in some slight, indescribable way. Finally, and it is always worth mentioning, their service was excellent. The waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. Overall, I'd go back.

The food here is generally good but not anything to write home about. The chef sushi rolls are great; my personal favorite is the massive godzilla roll. You can come here for drinks too. They are open really late (like 2 am) so sometimes it's nice after a night of drinking to come sit down and order a big bowl of fried rice. A bit more expensive in general than I would like however.
