I offer psychotherapy for individual adults and teens, play therapy for children, and couples counseling for relationships of all kinds. Coming to therapy requires significant courage and vulnerability; it is initiating a process of change, and when things change, they often do so in ways we don't expect.
So whether you are coming in on your own, with your partner, or sending your child, know that I am respectful of the way things have been, and careful in helping you navigate your path forward. As your therapist, it is my job to evoke and support your natural tendency toward health. Together, we'll explore both your hopes and your struggles.

Services
With warmth and thoughtfulness, I strive to really listen, understand, and help you find new perspectives on your life (past, present, and future) that feel true and hopeful. My approach to psychotherapy is primarily influenced by my clinical training. Additionally, however, my longstanding experience with sports, dance, Pilates, and yoga brings creativity and a down to earth attitude to my style.
Please contact me to discuss my rates. I do maintain a limited number of lower fee appointment times for those who cannot afford my regular fee. If you are in need of a lower fee and I am unable to offer one, I will be able to provide referrals to trusted colleagues or training centers. Except for in unusual circumstances, treatment involves 50 minute sessions conducted at least once per week.
If you would like to arrange an initial meeting, or if you have questions, please call (415) 534-5113, or email at etkoblenz@gmail.com. I check my messages often and you can expect to hear from me within 24 hours, Monday - Friday. Appointments are conducted remotely via phone or video until it becomes safe to meet in person again.

I am thankful to know Eric and to have benefited personally from what I see as his commitment to authenticity and service. Eric is an intelligent, compassionate, curious and nonjudgemental therapist who I believe is very committed to his clients. Personally, I find him easy to talk to and accepting of others just where they are at.
Knowing him as a colleague for nearly a decade I have experienced and observed how his thoughtful, grounded presence allows him to connect with and become an ally on those on the healing path. His appreciation for a holistic mind-body approach and his commitment to
