I would highly recommend the Jackson Law Firm for divorce advice. I found Mr. Jackson to be a very easy person to talk to and explained everything in a way that I could understand. My ex-husband and I were trying to file and complete our divorce decree ourselves but ran into trouble when it came to spousal support. I had a phone consultation today and the attorney did not call. I had worked with them previously and assumed the experience would be the same. The first time we worked with them, it was a great experience. However, the attorney did not call and the paralegal did not respond to email. If I hadn't called today, I don't think anyone would have followed up with me and I wouldn't have known why the attorney did not call today. At the very least, someone should have communicated this to me.

Don't waste your time and money here. Zero interest in client's needs and zero respect from Cara Surell and her paralegal who didn't bother to even write their clients name properly. She sent me several threatening emails that I don't have to bother them with my needs as they had a vacation. This is all they really care about - their endless vacations. No work. No capability of solving any issues.

Mr. Jackson was all sunshine and rainbows at first when we put our retainer down then we barely had contact with him... we found out more about the case from the other party and his secretary even forgot to send us paperwork and then blamed us... in 6 months we havent even been to court or anything and now hes wanting 4500 more dollars on a slam dunk custody case with trashed house and child stateing his father drinks and drives with him in vehicle... waste of money and time...come to find out opposing attorney and him are good friends and we dont have deep enough pockets...

I went through 3 lawyers and interviewed countless others before hiring Justin. In the courtroom, he by far had the best memory and knew just the right pressure, for the judge. He was clear and to the point. Once in our meetings together, he helped soothe my concerns. He is very knowledgeable about divorces and parents’ rights.
My biggest concern was my kids and what’s best for them. He pulled the emotion out of my concerns and helped me set a plan. In my opinion, we won my case! There is no winning in divorce, especially with kids but i was able to maintain and achieve all my top points.

Justin Jackson was the attorney for a divorce situation.
He was rarely available and most work was done by his assistant.
He said he would work hard to get a fair settlement but that did not happen. Ex husband is laughing all the way to the bank, gloating over getting everything he wanted !! Mr. Jackson was a waste of precious money that is desperately needed to find a place to live now.

Justin Jackson is an amazing attorney. He has been helping me with my divorce and works with me non stop whether it's explaining things to me, or not allowing my husband take advantage of me! Justin agreed to do my divorce for a flat fee which I paid in full but when he could not get my ex to agree he didn't want to do my case anymore and requested to be removed from my case. Ironically when I first talked with Justin he said he can be very convincing with his argument to get a good agreement, but he basically took my money drafted a proposal - my ex declined and then when we went to court and had mediation with opposing attorney Justin and the other attorney got into a verbal back and forth argument - but not about my case - apparently something personal and very unprofessional

The only reason I gave 1 star is because I could not write without one. I just read that JJ has had a law license for 6 years. Well that explains why my case was so botched. My situation has been over for 6 years, yet paperwork is STILL not filed. I found him to be lazy, argumentive, and biased. Completely on the opposing side. Never explained anything, mostly bsed his way through it. My divorce decree was basically copied and pasted. I had to go back to him several times to ask him to change specific wording. This caused friction in an already not so good situation (i.e. divorce!) I lost so much

A year ago I was looking for a law firm near North Austin and Cedar Park who can help my husband and I to create legal documents regarding our marriage. As a law firm which practices family law, they were responsive and efficient with our needs. Atty. Cara Surell took care of my husband's last will and testament and was also my immigration lawyer. She was very passionate and efficient towards her clients. I just got my green card with their help. I will be partnering with them once I apply for my citizenship.
