Ann-Marie is the Office Manager & a Licensed Optician for Optimal Eye Care. She has been in the optical field for over 25 years. She brings her vast knowledge and expertise in selecting the frame and lenses that are best for you. Ann-Marie received a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Capital University.
Learning about your eye health can be complicated - and might even seem overwhelming at first. To simplify things for our patients, we've created our Eye Health Library, a comprehensive library of vision-related information. Dr. Engler, Dr. Sims, and Dr. Hackley are very thorough and comprehensive with their examinations. In fact, there are two parts to their eye health evaluation. They will test your vision to determine the strength of correction you will need. Then they will conduct a detailed eye health evaluation including a corneal evaluation and tear analysis which is vital for patients experiencing dry eyes or interested in contact lenses.
Making a decision about your eyewear goes beyond good vision and makes a statement about who you are. Your decision affects how you see and also how you want to be seen by others. But with so many different styles to choose from, getting the right look for your face and your lifestyle can be overwhelming.

Will not return here. Know your insurance benefits before visiting this office. Verify that they have even billed your vision plan with your insurance before paying anything. Prices very inflated. Was told several times by doctor my prescription hadn't changed, yet when I went to the required contact lens fitting, learned they had incorrectly labeled the lenses putting my right in my left and left in my right, then wondered why I couldn't read the eye chart. I am diabetic with severe myopia. I got the same exam at Costco at little out of pocket cost. Dr Steven Ruth at Costco never

Terrible customer service. All I asked for was a quote over the phone, that every other company out there was able to give me OVER THE PHONE and they said they can't do that! The last thing I was going to do while "price shopping" was waste my time driving up there to find out they couldn't beat the competitors prices. Thank but no thanks, you will not be getting my business.

I absolutely cannot say enough about DrMcGann and the opticians, and the staff at the front desk. This establishment is truly focused on the patient and their needs. They each go above and beyond to provide well above average patient care. They have a brand new outstanding Vision Therapy program that my 8 year old just graduated from. Her ability… to read and comprehend books is astonishing now! And the changes VT did for her have gone so much farther than books. She is excelling in the classroom in every subject, no longer needs her reading glasses, and what this has done for her self confidence

I have now been to Optimal Eye Care for 2 annual exams and have had great experiences both times. Dr. Engler is extremely personable and knowledgeable. I was able to get right in without waiting and the total appointment time was less than an hour. The new office is very nice and the staff is both polite and helpful.
I have been to a few optometrists over the years and this is the first one who offers to mail your contacts directly to you once they come in instead of having you come and pick them up. It's a win/win!

Everyone was very nice, and the staff is super knowledgeable and thorough. I would like to see a somewhat wider frame selection, especially in larger women's sizes (I have a big head!) but the kids and I were able to find great looking frames so in the end it was all good. Definitely will be returning.

Optimal Eye Care has a very friendly and professional staff. It had been awhile since my last eye exam, so I was very impressed by the computerized testing... and they walked me through everything they were testing for and what the images showed. The available frames were nice, and the prices were reasonable.

Dr. Engler was fantastic with our four year old! So patient & easy going. The visit was a breeze. They have a great kids waiting area too which was perfect for our wild two year old! This place is on the other side of town for us but it's well worth the drive-even in rush hour traffic! Thanks so much!
