In keeping with your expectations of high quality eye care, we also specialize in other areas of eye health, including headaches, eyestrain, double vision, and reading difficulties. Dr. Stephen Hirt grew up in Akron, Ohio. He came to Columbus to pursue his schooling at The Ohio State University.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts, Dr. Hirt continued his education at the College of Optometry at Ohio State and graduated in 1994, with his Doctor of Optometry degree.Following graduation, Dr. Hirt acquired experience in private practice optometry, as well as hospital-based optometry in Detroit, Michigan.

Our vision examination consists of a thorough case history, visual field testing (peripheral vision), and refraction, or prescription determination. Binocular vision tests are also part of the examination, which determines how well your eyes work together as a team. We will also evaluate the overall health of your eyes with dilation drops, and retinal photography.
We carry a full line of children and adult frames, from budget-conscious lines to designer frames, including polarized sunglasses and a large selection of children's frames. A wide variety of lens options are available as well, including the lightest and thinnest materials on the market, anti-glare coatings for computer users and night driving, and invisible bifocals.

I have seen Dr. Mannarino for two years now for my checkups an contact lens fitting. He does a thorough exam and explains everything clearly, and he has a very cordial personality. The staff are also very nice and attentive. One of them patiently helped me to find a new pair of glasses frames that would look good on me, and she made sure I was able to get all the discounts I could through insurance and rebates. I look forward to my visit again next year.

Columbus Vision Associates is the best eye care professional office I have ever used. I go to Dr. Mannarino at the Polaris office on Lazelle Rd. They really seem to care that my eyesight is the best it can be. Whether for contact fitting, eyeglasses, eye health or other, they spend all the time necessary to provide top-level care and answer all my questions. Added bonus- they are all very personable and friendly people.

My puppy hid my glasses, and they were nowhere to be found! I looked everywhere.
I’d had an eye exam at Columbus Vision Associates a few months ago so I knew it was just a matter of picking out new frames.
Kathy said she had some frames in mind for me, and when I went in to choose a pair, I ended up with the first pair she’d chosen for me! Normally, I can spend a lot, and I mean a lot, of time picking out frames!
Kathy kindly and efficiently had my new glasses rushed to me!

Perfect for the whole family! Both my husband and I go here, but recently we took our 3 year old after noticing a couple concerns with his vision. Thanks to the wonderful ladies and the Doctor we were able to get my son in the perfect pair of glasses. They really put him and I at ease. Not only were they great with him during the test, they helped so much with choosing the glasses, and making sure they fit perfectly for him to be comfortable when we picked them up. I can’t say enough nice things about all the people working here!
